so I just listened to Carrie's very recent Fresh Air interview, and she spent a bit of time talking about how difficult the last year was for her, what with her Mom having two strokes and a lengthy recovery. She said she was left frailer but still capable. She was also just as to be expected, casually hilarious. Hate to use a Star Wars metaphor, but she really was Jedi level for self-deprecation.
Of course, nothing like a bit of extreme stress, advanced age, and some existing health problems to exact a toll on someone. I was just thinking how sad it was for Debbie Reynolds to outlive her daughter, now it even seems more sad.
