Finally got around to finishing up my play through of Rez Infinite in VR. It was alright, Rez with some more visual depth. I remember back on DC & PS2 Rez was like a normal or easy game but cool. Playing it today shit is fucking intense. Games are too easy these days. Don't make you sweat like this and don't give you carpal tunnel.
Anyhow I got to Area X and I thought it was just gonna be a new level in the Rez engine, ok cool but no big deal. Then I started it and like wtf, this is Rez 2. I mean all new graphic engine, all new visual style, all new gameplay where you fly around, it's a full fledged vertical slice prototype of Rez 2. It was pretty cool, playing in VR reminded me of the first time I did Captain Eo at Disneyland. Definitely an experience. Somehow I never got hit and I have no idea why because I never really understand what were the dangers, so it seemed kinda a lot easier, but still cool.
But yeah, there is absolutely no way they don't make a Rez 2 now. Like there's no reason to make an all new Rez engine and Rez 2 sequel gameplay just for a single level thing. And hey, that's cool. Getting Rez 2 after all these years is gonna be great. Wonder if it's 2017. Rez 2, Shenmue 3. Dreamcast revival starting here. Just need VF6!
*edit* 15 mins later I'm still dizzy from all the spinning around in Area X in VR
