I was always more partial to the Parish, but Hard Rain had an interesting gimmick.

i was playing as a charger, and I knocked an entire team into the corn field in hard rain right as they got off the elevator. it was the single greatest moment of my online gaming career.

The Parish is probably actually better on replays, if only because it's longer and more complex.

But the first time through, not knowing what the "simple" come back will be like, and it setting hurricane to maximum.

After the first time, like the sewer crescendo whichever episode that's in, I'm just like "just load up on those amphetamines you've been hiding, get some shotguns or just dual pistols and lets just book it" but someone always decided they need to check all the houses or some shit.

if someone wants to dick around in the houses you just gotta let them die. let them learn the hard way not to waste everyone's time and health.

I try to find some good campaigns that aren't Dead Center and Dark Carnival, but most of them are pretty sparse.

Coincidentally I reinstalled l4d2 like two weeks ago, still really fun.  Hit me up if anyone wants to jump into a game or two
