Saying Hello/Good Morning/Greeting everyone at work daily Y/N?

For the last 6 years or something I've said good morning to every single person at my office every day when I come in.  I never thought anything of it until I saw an Onion article on it.  I think for me, it's one of those things I brought back from working in Japan where everyone says ohayou to each other in the morning when they arrive.  Saying hello/good morning/greeting to everyone you work with each day in America Y/N?

actually i have to amend this one. went into the bathroom to wash my hands after some snackin and heard what sounded like a bunch of people on a cell phone speaker. turned around and a dude was pissin at the urinal with his phone on top of the urinal. dude took a telecon (keep in mind this is big money gov work we do) into the bathroom.

My office is like 8 people  that I work with constantly throughout the day.

I work at a huge firm, but within the firm my department is only like eight people.  I also arrive way before most others do, so in the mornings I greet the security guard when I come in and say hi to the co-worker who starts when I do, then say hi to my other co-workers when they come in.  That's about it.  If I see someone when outside our little office room and they say something to me, I'll say something back.

When I was in Japan, I didn't greet everyone every morning, either. Did basically the same as the above.  The exception were the kids at the schools I worked at.  I'd say hi to all of them because that was part of the job, in a sense.

I currently work in a small office of less than 10 people, so I say good morning usually to everyone. My previous job was a giant building with hundreds of people, so the only people I greeted were the people who I actually liked.

I'll try to say hello to most everyone working in my department but I don't overdo it and sometimes skip a couple (there's a lot of small offices). We also tend to ignore the commercials working right across the open space (and they do too) unless you vaguely know them or are put in a situation where greetings is customary (elevator).

My other employer has a much smaller department so I say hello to everyone.

Yes, I greet everyone in my immediate sphere except my boss really (no reason for this, just by the time he gets in im not paying attention to people anymore). The girl at reception called me out a couple of months ago, i came up to her and said 'morning how are you?' and she answered 'dont ask me that, it's not like you really want to know' we made eye contact for what felt like 20 seconds and I moved on, havent asked she how she is doing since

I come in to work 30 minutes early (and leave 30 minutes early) partially to not deal with this bullshit

I'm also the most productive person in the office during that 30 minute window
