Guess doing Qunatum Break Steam showed them that booking on Microsoft after two failures (Alan Wake and QB) wasn't the way to go forward.

The former was known, they're doing the single player for it.

They's a tiny chance it's something related to Alan Wake 2 which they said they were going to look at again after finishing Quantum Break. But that's the only thing they've ever named.

Thread title is funny since they were never "multiplat" as both the Max Payne games were ported to the consoles by Rockstar.

and I'd love a sequel to it or some new game using the powers the characters get in it. I even enjoyed the (basically randomly inserted) movie in-between chapters.

 They're sadly doubly-dead, as everyone that had worked on the good parts of Bully went on to form United Front Games, did the under appreciated Sleeping Dogs and Triad Wars, some contract work, and then died.  :'(

I could see something like that hurting UFG's rep and making it more difficult for them to land a big project somewhere else. I mean, despite critical praise and sales success [about 2 million copies worldwide] they did virtually nothing after Sleeping Dogs other than a couple of ports and online multiplayer thing that failed to make enough money for them to keep the lights on.

I fully understand.

The whole deal that went down was shady. EIDOS leaned way past its boundaries to snap up Crystal Dynamics, and then were basically saved by S-E's inexplicable interest in snapping up EIDOS' inefficient business and production structure. Just honestly baffling. The EIDOS creeps in the UK are fond of promoting things that didn't really work for them, and are still essentially at the top of the food chain for Things Which Are Not Japanese, which makes very little sense in NA.

Supercell (Clash of Clans), Rovio (Angry Birds) and Housemarque (Super Stardust) are popular Finnish developers. Rovio also has an office in Stockholm if you prefer sticking to a language that is closer to Danish.

Yeah but Rovio is cutting down so I dont think they are hiring and Supercell has F2P mechanics on lockdown.

It's not for me I'm just wondering if Remedy is trying to make some F2P shootah

EDIT: I looked up the ad again and its for mobile so yeah prob one of the two other companies

It's paltry, considering it's multiplatform, unless dev has changed dramatically in the 4 years I've been out of it.
