The extremely plain anime faces look off with everything else being so detailed, but otherwise...

Weeb Souls.

I really don't expect this to play anything like Souls.  Not with the people behind this.  Will probably be some God Eater x Souls halfway.

It's mainly being developed by the team that made God Eater [Shift], which is a pretty decent Monster Hunter-esque action-RPG.

Looks alright, but my main takeaway is that all the Monster Hunter clone games for the last 5-7 years will now transition into Souls clone games for the next 5-7 years and I am 100% on board with that because as a single player gamer I could never get into any arena monster hunting games, whereas Soulsborne games are very enjoyable rpgs which are my cup of tea.  I'd really like to see the Soul Sacrifice team make a Soulsborne since their aesthetic was neat.

Playing Dark Souls III now, it really reinforces how one of the most important aspects of Soulsborne formula is the exploration.  Finding all the secrets and exploring out maps is incredibly rewarding and satisfying.  I hope these Soulsborne clones pick up on that and don't just have linear dungeons.

This game reminds me of Nier from the trailers. But I literally have no idea how it plays.

It's straight up anime Dark Souls. Which I'm totally ok with if it feels like Dark Souls and not Lords of the Fallen/The Surge trash.
