I wish Sega would translate pso2 on ps4 because it actually looks pretty awesome, but i think that at this point that ship has sailed.

I'm not sure what to look forward to, since most companies I follow just released games or are planning to soon. I'm sure they'll show off the final tomb raider of the new trilogy, so that'll be cool. and since I just played tales from the borderlands i hope telltale announces a new one. maybe capcom will show off the not a hero dlc and hopefully the re2 remake. o and maybe we'll get some info on a translation of dq11. other than that, I dunno.

In 2017, there's no reason for PSO to exist. If you're a console only dirtperson and wanna play arpgs, you can now- D3 is out and PoE is coming to xbone.

The only reason to care about PSO at this point is attachment to the franchise and/or to rustle the jimmies of people like me and tiesto that hate it because it killed any chance of a real and proper PS sequel.

It's kinda hard to get hyped when all the best games of the year came out already.

Indeed, Phantom Dust came out last week. Who cares about E3 now? 

I'd love a PS5, PSO2 localization or even just straight to PSO3 for the US. As long as it isn't another Phantasy Star Universe I'm good. But you're never getting any, definitely not in the US. PSO2 localized is the best bet and it ain't something I'd bet on.

E3 is in less than a month. No hype?

Hype games for hype beasts:

- Bloodborne 2 (FROM SOFTWARE + based Sony)
- Deep Down re-launched (Capcom)
- a proper Metroid game (Switch exclusive)

I think I saw that there's two Metroid games allegedly in development somewhere, was probably a rumormonger twitter account. A proper new Metroid and an F-Zero would make me cave and get a Switch.

I went to the Atlanta ones. That was a complete shit show with horrendous traffic, little parking, and not enough hotels. The convention hall was also kind of a mess. There's a good reason they never went back after a brief two years there.

E3 really needs to be in another city but the familiarity of LA is hard to discount. Las Vegas is an obvious option but that's probably far more expensive then the deals they get on the LACC.

i could see some kind of a short trailer for this, claptrap and some locations or something, at the Unreal Engine thing a few months ago they showed off some test footage for some panel thing or whatever using assets they said were from 3 which would be on UE4

they said Duke wouldn't be soon for a while, and while Brothers in Arms is supposed to get another go...this might not be the year for that exactly

I always heard it was because so many devs were on the west coast or it was quicker to get to L.A. from other countries than Atlanta.  No?

I went to both ATL E3s since I live there.  Was fun to check out the show for an hour or two, then leave.  Then my friends wanted to go to the L.A. shows from then on.  I went two more years and stopped after 2000, since I was bored out of my mind the last time (friends just wanted to go to the show three days straight and do nothing else, and I was too young n' dumb to go off by myself). 

In this day and age, I don't understand why they want to open the show to the public.  Just release all the various demos on the consoles for download.

The Atlanta E3's were a huge mess for all kinds of reasons logistically though that certainly played a factor. I'm surprised nobody's tried to try and get one moved up to the Bay Area.

This is the arguably the best reason to go on any conference floor probably but I have a strange love for what you can get away with at well..anywhere as long as you either carry documents/clipboard or act like you're supposed to be moving stuff:

At a conference there were these stands like they take at the start/end of the video for panels on different countries setup in the middle of a hallway one after another but not only were they impossible to read this way as you walked down it but they didn't seem to be in any clear order, I and this other feller moved them all off to this rotunda and then set them back along the sides of the hallway alphabetically, nobody said anything and they stayed that way

I forgot what year, but it was around the time MS did their big XBL Arcade push iirc but they did something like what you're saying. Dropped a bunch of e3 demos and stuff directly onto the marketplace. Might have been 07/08? somewhere around there. I don't think they tried it again or it wasn't as good as that first year.

Eh Downtown LA is pretty rad now. It sucked 10 years ago though! Just stay somewhere away downtown and close to the metro line and that'll make everything better.

Yup. In 2007 there was E For All which was a disaster (I still have a shirt from it though) and I think the E3 stuff was just spread across LA so all the journalists whined about how much they had to drive around and shit. So the next year it still wasn't at a central location but I think it was closer together or something which made everyone realize that it is better to just have it one place. They brought it back but cut down on some of the weird stuff and attempted to dump booth babes.

Last time I went (2 years ago?) it felt kinda empty aside from MS, EA, Sony and Nintendo and they super cracked down on badges and it was just a hassle to go between the two halls.

Tweaker will do all the patching for you, and it's pretty much everything important, including a good chunk of the story. You can even search player shops in English via the item patch dll injection.
