One of the things that really is bumming me out is that in response to the current happenings, many people (e.g. on Twitter) are saying things like, "Good for you for leaving that toxic community" or "NeoGAF has changed" or otherwise putting down NeoGAF as a group. (And yes, to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if most of those commenters are the kind of people who go around complaining about PC culture and SJWs, but that's besides the point.)

The NeoGAF community is really one of a kind, and one that I'm very proud to be a part of. It's very inclusive and an easy read, and it legitimately makes me happy to see so many different kinds of people just getting along and talking about games and random stuff without random "kill yourself" posts or other dumb stuff. It's great for gaining others' perspectives on issues related to them that I wouldn't have otherwise thought of, and I myself as a black person don't need to worry about encountering any weird, racist stuff.

In addition the inclusive and liberal nature of NeoGAF I also really like our Off Topic section a lot. It's gotten to the point where pretty much the only site I check every day, all the time is NeoGAF. It's where I get all my news AND focused, specific gaming news. I can't think of any site at all that replicates that mix so well.

There is no reasoning with people who are on witch hunts. I understand this is a sensitive issue but NeoGAF should be a place where various opinions can be heard. I have defended free speech on this platform for quite some time and I will continue to do so. I will not address these false allegations. Recently complete innocent people and companies have been at the forefront of this scandal. Such as UNCHARTED developer NAUGHTY DOG(TM) by SONY ENTERTAINMENT. Who love and support our message board.

We all know that the Weinstein, Trump, etc. stories have put everyone on edge. And believe me when I say that those ladies in Europe have different standards then we do when it comes to partying. I'm not a creep. I can let half of Asia, Europe and the US testify that I'm actually quite an incredible gentleman. I don't worry about lawsuits, I worry about the lack of decent conversation among peers on equal standards.

As you all know some people want to see this place burned to the ground. I have respectfully talked with some mods who told me their concerns. Based on our conversations they decided to leave on  good terms. I thank all of you who continue to work with me to make sure NeoGAF continues to be a place where people from all walks of life can voice their opinion. I also thank everyone who left for their opinions on this matter and their professionalism in dealing with these hard times.

Now that we can put this all behind us I will impose the following new rules so we may continue the discourse as normal.

- Bring this 'issue' up again - 2 weeks ban
- Open a topic about this 'issue' - 1 month ban
- Continue to flame/troll/open topics and/or account suicides - YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT PERMANBANS!!
- If we catch you spreading slander and lies someplace else  (like Twitter) - 1 week ban

We will continue to be transparent as how we address this and I will personally donate $1000 to a womens health organization of my choosing. Not as a confirmation of guilt but as a gesture of good faith to reflect my values.
