Races divides people because the rich like it that way.
Brake them to break the cycle.
This I agree with. But you can only break the cycle by financially empowering those in poverty.
I've heard this before. If this were true, why hasn't there been more effort from people who win the lottery? Get a record deal? Get signed for a sports team? Etc.
I personally think that this
is happening, but there are so many people who don't have large disposable incomes compared to those that do, so it's like trying to drain the ocean with a cup. Plus, for you to know it's happening consistently, someone has to report it. Now, what has been described here sounds very positive, and we all know positivity doesn't get as much attention as unnecessary anger. So there's that angle out the window.
But the worst part out of all of this is the naivety. Why would financially empowering those in poverty break the cycle? That completely disregards human nature. It's the same reason why full communism/socialism will never work. Only in hypothetical solutions, where everyone has no interests, ulterior motives, desires or struggles with moral dilemmas. In order for the "empowerment" angle to work in any real capacity, requires the population to be heavily controlled by a state of leadership. If you leave people to their own devices under a hypothetical "financial empowerment" scheme, you will still have people stealing from each other, belittling of others for being lower class (no matter how that forms) and discrimination.
This isn't a problem that can be solved through policy.
