Why do people hate anita so much?

Hate isn't the proper term. People think she's a carpetbagger, a fake, a swindler, an opportunist, etc. People have more ire for the people in gaming who promote her and fall for her shit. Some people dislike her for creating a false moral panic. Some really dislike her because she's gone after them.

Speaking of being a swindler, what happened to her video series about video games or something? Did that ever come out?

I think she eventually finished it after failing ot deliver it on time. At least that's what I last heard. She may have some other things has promised in her kickstarter which she kind of let die in the dust. I tried watching some of her stuff but her feminist lense is outdated and anything of worth she had she stole from others. Misrepresenting games and talking out the ass doesn't help her case either.

She did try taking her schtick to the world of History but that didn't seem to last long. Seems to be back to guilt racketeering in gaming. Her and McIntosh no longer work together so maybe she doesn't have a crew to do vids anymore..

We've been working on migration to a more modern forum platform throughout the year, and while we won't quite be hitting that Q1 2017 target as originally announced,

it's like part of him knows the proper response in these times is to basically just take it and be good humored about it...like when he let the forum shit on him for basically two days

ResetEra was put up in 4 days. If it's taking him this long then that means there's literally no one who wants to do it.

Stump once suggested that before Gromph and him and others came along and were actually allowed access to the forum, some of what Evilore had done to the backend to keep it alive during E3 and such actually made day to day things worse. I think Gromph has been untangling some of that slowly.

Also IIRC, years ago when Evilore did the automatic vBulletin update script, the forum broke for like two days because of what he'd done to the site and he hadn't properly setup for the script either. Does anyone else remember this? It was some time ago before the last set of mods/admins so no Stump or anyone, and probably why they haven't updated it again except for that minor update they did once because of a security flaw in the old version.

The problem with these types of forum structures is that it's really easy to get drunk on power, especially when you have a massive community. This was blatantly apparent at NeoGAF, and seeing as Era is already stating to shake, it's going to be a tough and long road ahead of them to stay sober. Talk is cheap.

I think Gromph basically gets to do whatever he wants now in terms of the backend, especially since he's getting paid. Stump and Timan being gone and Lore behind the times kinda opens it up for him more than even recent years.

Plus I have to assume Gromph has a test box rather than doing everything live on the GAF servers which has always been weird to me. It hasn't even sounded like they have had a test forum installed elsewhere on the same server.
