put in url for new avvy, click save, and it clears the avvy and defaults to no avatar.

but for real, i had this happen to me when i changed my tag to this awesome one i have now, it took away the avatar, make sure "Specify avatar by URL" is marked because sometimes the URL entry is there but no avatar is marked, then for extra i typed in one of the other fields or something then deleted it before saving the profile

For some reason you can't use HTTPS for avatars. Just use the HTTP version.

I ran a subroutine to check if peoples avatars suck, and it flagged yours, sorry

If I may hijack this thread for a moment? The underscore I put in my username for whatever stupid reason kinda bothers me now

Is there a way in the profile settings to change that? The "username" section is greyed out so I guess not...

This is what I did. Be careful though, if you do it wrong or stop mid-way through you might become possessed by a demon (or worse, a NeoGAF poster.)
