>Raj and Howard enter the room
Raj: Guys you won't believe this - I found my old hard drive and it has more than 250 Bitcoins on it!
Leonard: Wow, this is great, Raj!
>Penny looks up from her phone
Penny: Uhmm guys..... What is Bitcorn?
>Roaring laughter from the audience, people falling off their seats
Leonard: It's BitCOIN Penny, not Bitcorn..
>Sheldon interrupts
Sheldon: It's a peer-to-peer decentralised digital currency, where transactions are verified by a set of nodes and recorded in a distributed public ledger called a blockch..
>Sheldon notices that Penny is not paying attention and looking at her phone again
>Laughter erupts once again, several members of the audience are on the ground and seeking medical attention
Leonard: ..It's internet money!
>The studio is falling apart
Penny: Riiiight...
>Penny rolls her eyes in a exaggerated way and looks at her phone again
Leonard: ..and it's worth $7000 each..

>Everyone in the audience is now dead
Penny: So you were saying something about taking us shopping, Raj?

Even if it does rise after the H&S pattern forms completely I'm not putting any money in because it is due to tumble down some before it hits 9,000 USD.

Or at least that's what all the charts I've been looking at seem to convey.

Gigantic sell orders always makes my hair stand up on end. *whew*

Hmm, thinking about getting out if it goes above 8250 again. Only got 1/4 of a bitcoin right now so it wouldn't be a big deal to me if it went down. I have a $500 deposit coming in this week or next, so I could just buy the drop with that. The stress of selling and then rebuying isn't really worth it to me.

Also, have any of you looked into Power Ledger? They have a working project in Australia (with government funding) and they're starting to get involved with countries in Asia. Since I invested last week it's gone up 200%.
Here's a reddit link with info: https://www.reddit.com/r/PowerLedger/comments/7dzo9d/why_power_ledger_will_be_a_top_15_coin_2018/
If it goes back down to .60-.70 cents I'd recommend buying a bit.

I saw a bunch of people shilling it on /biz/ a week ago.

But then again, a lot of shit gets shilled on /biz/ and it's hard to cut through the noise of what's a good buy and what isn't.

I should probably find some decent crypto twitter accounts to follow instead.  :doge

Yeah I learned about it on 4chan too. I don't really mind throwing 100-200 bucks as long as the idea seems decent and has a team working on it. Though I also invested in Horizon State during that time and that dropped by 1/3 after I got in. It's definitely a gamble doing this, I'm glad I didn't fall for the Confido scam.

That btc run was absolutely crazy.

I exited my BTC position a week ago going all in with LTC instead.  Half regretting it given the epic btc run, but I think it's just a matter of time until ltc moons.  ltc is seriously undervalued imho.

Will it though ? And correcting to what ? Bitcoin is purely a speculative asset and it doesn't really correlate to anything (apart from slight uses as currency and paying ransoms), it could go up as long as buyers are convinced it will continue to go up.

any correction will be forgotten months after
even if it dips back to 8k after passing 10k, it'll still be at 10.5k months later

Breh, this is the ultimate exercise in human greed and morbid curiosity. I could have pulled out a million times already with a decent profit, but I keep looking at the value climbing mesmerized, like I already won a small lottery but I wanna see how much more I could get, and risking it all to find out.

Like, this is me right now

I was going to hold some IOTA before I got disctracted with bitcoin.

Now I really wish I did since I remember it being below a dollar.

I say buy $100 to $500 dollars worth (money that you don't mind throwing away) if it dips and just don't look at your investment until early next year.

Also, look up dollar cost averaging if you don't want to wait for a dip.

I'll just hold eth, iota, and possibly one other alt coin.

BTC downtrend might be breaking up right now but it's still too high for me to buy back in and not feel nervous.

It could easily rise up to $10,100 and then start plummeting.
