I will definitely listen to you guys talking about Tyranny. I thought overall it wasn't quite as good a game as Pillars of Eternity, but it was more interesting. And I really hope that PoE takes a lot of queues from what Tyranny did, and I want a sequel to Tyranny, as well.

i liked the IDEA of it a lot. i liked the IDEA of the design. i wound up getting bored and fatigued. my favorite parts of zelda games are the varied and complex puzzle dungeons and the crazy boss encounters, and this was short on both. what i got was quirky, polished skyrim with slightly cumbersome controls.

Yeah, the dungeon issue seems greatly disappointing. Considering there were over a hundred shrines, I think it would have benefited Nintendo to cut those in half and double the main dungeon count. Seems like a shame, since this is probably the first 3D Zelda that got the whole living, breathing overworld thing right for once.

I mentioned it in chat, though you may not have seen it, but you guys should definitely check out Divinity: Original Sin 2 considering how much you liked Tyranny and Torment: Tides of Numenera. It's got a similar old-school CRPG feel to it, but with a really fantastic combat system. If you played Original Sin 1, it's not a huge change from that, but the writing and presentation are way better, much more memorable characters, too. Definitely worth looking into.
