I learnt in school about the roman empire 4 times actually x) (in 4th grade, 8th grade, 11th grade and in college), hell they taught me freaking latin in high school, and i think the last one may have been the one who had the biggest influence on me, considering it was a (pseudo) philosophy class, this was the first time i ever heard about the 3 pilars, and the others 2 seemed way more influential than Rome for me.And for the people saying that i can't just dismiss the roman achievements, i am not, but i don't see how aqueducts and other engineering feats are "western culture" .
