IMO, Kobe basically admitted it, under a 2017 understanding of rape, where you don’t have to do it “on purpose” to rape someone.

He basically says “I thought it was consensual and she clearly didn’t and I apologize to her, her family, and my family... but I didn’t rape her!” But that who denial was based on HIS interpretation of what was going down and not hers.

Basically, I think the 2017 standard for rape is non-sensical to some extent for this very reason of the guy can’t be in the woman’s head.

Yeah. It doesn't render the webpage itself in the terminal like Lynx, but in a kind of black box process you don't see. The only output to the terminal would be the test results (or path to the screenshot, etc.)

Tim Soret just shot himself in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about video game culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is with movies where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over on Twitter, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is NeoGAF, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase The Last Night for either system, nor will they purchase any of Tim Soret's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Soret has alienated an entire market with this move.

Tim Soret, publicly apologize to Evilore and delete your Tweets or you can kiss your business goodbye.
