One night, while plundering the depths of weird parts of YouTube for new and rare memes, I found a gold mine. It was an entire community of people engaged in a bizarre activity I never could have imagined would exist in any serious form. That night, I discovered...
Fast Food Reviews
Yes: there are plucky, self-starters of all ages looking to make it big on Youtube by critically evaluating the lowest form of dining. It's the most blue collar version of entrepreneurialism ever. And the personalities range from the mundane to truly wild. Here is a smattering just to give you an idea.
One guy's shtick is extremely stilted, awkward language while eating fast food in dapper attire. This video is so good it actually turned into a Facebook meme:
Skip to 1:40 for an epic diatribe.
Here's a less popular YouTuber. This guy decided to do his review with his kids in the car and actually ordered the wrong item after waiting 30 minutes in line to get his food:
This is a video of two fatsos eating titled "eating sounds". It's not even a review. It has 100k views. Why? Why? I don't know, but I'm subscribed.
But my favorite... nothing beats Robert Dyer. From the backwoods of West Virginia, this hidden gem uses 1999 video effects to bring you the most puzzling behavior you've ever seen. As if his Martian attitude wasn't weird enough, he has an inexplicable alternative personality named Tarnation Bob that does... I'm not sure exactly. I presume it's comic relief, but then that would imply his normal persona isn't already meant for comic relief.
Robert Dyer is so good because it's like those weird videos Everything is Terrible always finds but he puts out content consistently and there's always something weird to laugh at. Although maybe it's bad for my health.
Anyway I hope you've put me on ignore by this point, if not thanks for reading.
