If its not genetics then what else does nature consist of? I guess you could chalk it up to a chemical imbalance, which might be true considering everything in our body is a chemical reaction of some sort.

Um, genetics == genes.  It doesn't take into account conception or pregnancy conditions.

What difference does it make?  I'm not sure what is considered a chemical reaction in biology.  But what if, say (theoretically) a lack of oxygen caused a defect.  Would that be considered a chemical reaction?  On some level, yes, it is a chemical reaction as cells are kept from vital resources, but on another level, it's just a baby chokin'.  But again, I don't see what difference it makes.

That tends to be my belief. If it was a gene I think we'd have a far better understanding of it by now. That would be too easy in my estimates.

A slight change of one's brain can make the difference between being a regular, "average" human being and an uncontrolable, insane monster. With this in mind it's certainly not far fetched to suggest that homosexuality is indeed a product of some kind of differentiation in the brain

I already said prenatal hormones people. But that couldn't be a sufficient answer since identical twins are more likely to share a common sexual orientation than fraternal twins.

Anyway, through kin selection homosexuals wouldn't necessarily need to reproduce to pass on their genes. By aiding siblings (who share 50% of their genes) or cousins (25%) they could help aid their survival and reproduction. So if their siblings carried an inactivated gay gene (not saying it works like this) they could help that gene live on without directly reproducing.

Also researchers who believe that genes are involved think the genes are passed on from heterosexual mothers. So gay men wouldn’t need to have children for there to be "gay genes".
