Sega releases Daytona USA 2017 arcade update; works on PC

Sega released the latest update for their new 2017 arcade game Daytona Championship USA for arcade vendors to download for free online. It turned out that this update contained the full game and has basically everything required to run it fully. This isn't like an arcade crack that's been leaked, Sega released this themselves. For free. On their official website. I know right?!?

The controls don't fully work yet, but using an Xbox 360 pad it's possible to start the game using the start button and navigate the first menu (choosing between quick race and championship) using the left stick and selecting with the right trigger. Once you get past this menu no controls work.

I'll wait for 4chan or whoever to fix it completely and then give it a whirl or two for the novelty of it.

They should just release it on Steam as a "whoops!" but they won't because lol arcades lol.

I've never played any of the Daytona games, but I have such fond memories of the arcade game from my younger years that this just fills my heart with happy nostalgia.  I really should play it at some point.
