Fidèle (Fidel in English) (May 2003–January 2016)[1] was a famous dog and tourist attraction in Bruges, Belgium. The Yellow Labrador Retriever lived at the Côté Canal bed and breakfast with his owner, Caroline Van Langeraet. He could usually be seen lounging half-asleep on a windowsill facing the Groenerei canal;[2] Langeraet says that it was his favorite spot for years, in all seasons.[3] Tour boats on the canal often paused specifically to allow the passengers to take Fidèle's picture.[4] According to Langeraet, American tourists have sent the dog fan mail and parcels with toys.[3]In media, Fidèle appeared in the 2008 film In Bruges — which only increased his fame[3] — as well as a television advertisement for Godiva Chocolatier.[5]
Ms. Swan2 years agoThis video and song had me in tears. I have limited use of the left side of my body, limbs are pretty much useless. You can become so bitter, you struggle and ask yourself why. You can become so poisonous and toxic to yourself and those around you. The samurai shows me its possible to heal, for that I am grateful. Grateful for this wonderful work of art.
