actually im lying, some distinguished mentally-challenged fellows call everything coke, but overall majority refers to fizzy drinks as cool drinks/soft drinks.

Mouth breathers and cousin fuckers call it pop or Coke. (anecdotally speaking, of course.)

Also was it "Pop Lake" or "Coke Lake" in Super Mario World? I think not.

I rest my case.

Lol, everywhere I've been/lived calls it "Soda." The area that I grew up in was mixed (Soda, Pop, Coke, with Soda leading). A few folks I know were Pop or Coke in two areas according to that. :lol

I've heard some older guys here call it that, but usually only when referring to seltzer. Vodka tonics are also really popular here.

I’ve only lived in sane places that call it soda. I don’t think I’ve ever met a person in real life refer to it as pop. I surround myself with decent people.

SODIE POP

I call it "soda."  I've lived in the southeast and northeast and mostly have heard it as "soda" or just whatever the beverage name is- Lots of people just call everything 'coke' or 'pepsi' down here.  I think "pop" is more of a midwest thing?

Nope. "Sprite," or "Mr. Pibb" on brand-ordering.

"Do you want a coke?"
"Sure."
"What type?"
"Sprite."

Although I mostly avoid this stuff and will have stevia-based sodas or water instead.

That said, I feel required to try Peach Coke when it comes out next month in 'Murica.

We call it pop 'round these parts.

Anyone that calls it soda is quickly escorted to the western border and told to never come back. We can't have them muddying up our culture.
