This game wasn't even on my radar until I played the beta and had way more fun than I thought I would. $21 on cdkeys makes it an ez purchase.

Charging across fields of wheat up to your eyelids as a dwarf is pretty dank btw.

It's worse than the first game in that regard because they added this new "power level" system. Should make endgame more fun/exciting but the downside is you're basically trash until about level five and get some decent drops.

I just got to level five. I have yet to get a group that finished a whole map. One group died at what seemed to be the last part. Since encounters change, you sometimes get really brutal rushes with several of the mini-boss types that aren't just fodder.

I'm playing this game in co-op and it's great. It's also fucking brutal. You've got to block like crazy or you gwan die.

Also this game IS L4D2, the mechanics/enemies are so close it's almost shameless. But it's fun, sooooo

I've picked up on most of that stuff by now except the use of chain canceling. I am not sure how I feel about the approach to heavy attacks and chains. It's kind of counter intuitive how they often are less useful than the basic primary attack.

That said, I rarely charged my attack so I found it pointless pretty early on. Only charge my axe on bosses and mace for the sweep. I've also only been playing the Witchfinder dude. I think going non-rapier is subpar, but I haven't gotten a real rapier upgrade since level 2. Rather use a power 40+ axe than a power 5 base rapier.

fuck me this game's fun. playing with two others (our reg fourth has gone AWOL after we gave him some shit about flaking) and the bot gets on my tits a bit. seems to put in good numbers but is never where you want him to be. can't decide whether to just keep on with the cunt or open the slot up to random weirdos, which given we're EU is a proper ESL lottery.

I did use Falchion for a bit. I ended up crafting a rapier more my level and then ugprading it via crafting. (+18 crit modifier). For early leveling, it just feels like Rapier cuts through basic mobs so fast that it works best. Maybe when I hit higher difficulty, the Falch or Axe will come into play again.

I like it more than L4d series, though I may like some of the L4D maps more than the Verm ones. One of my guild buds had been trying to talk to the rest of us into playing Verm 1 for awhile.

I think they need to really make the class system feel like more of a difference. So far, I'm not feeling a big difference between Witch Hunter and Bounty Hunter.

what's the community like? the problem with playing as a three in anything is that there's usually a reason the lone weirdo who joins you doesn't have any mates to play with.

Vermintide 1 on PS4 is the buggiest experience I've had on the platform.

Pretty solid. Share run of idiots and hardcore min max dudes. It's not really a problem until you hit champion which is when the game gets really hard and turns on friendly fire.

Yeah, its not as fun with strangers then lol

Though the biggest problem with ppl right now is they're not willing to not do a grim/tome run. So tunnel visioned for the loot.

Look for curse resist trinkets/necklaces (i forget which one it has a chance to be a property on)
