I admit I didn't read all this shit the last few weeks, for that I apologize as I'm sure there were lots of likes that needed to be given, but I don't get why this was the red line. A breaking point. Unless there's more to it than this working for the GOP thing. This isn't a Republican friendly forum, and it looked like arguments that have been had for decades by people better paid than us.
It's not like people are going to endlessly shit on you for your politics unless it comes up. I know I'm not an ideal case since everyone is afraid of me making a fool of them, but I'm even more of an outlier than neo-Cindi, and agreed with some of her statements if altered or tweaked or completely reworded. People don't even bust my chops in the politik thread, largely again, out of their fear that I will destroy their state worship, even Mandark passes up freebies now out of fear.
I mean, people are obviously going to want to ask questions about a decision process like this, we have lots of posters who agree with Cindi's criticisms of the left, the Democrats, the Clintons, whoever, but it is strange to have someone outline all their problems and then announce they're going to work for a party that seems to have most of the same if not more.
But it's not anything really personal I don't think as anyone would get the pushback against most of the opinions she was giving. The personal stuff was because the subject kept getting framed in the context of her personally. But I think most of the regulars were more talking about a Cindi abstract within the same framing of the subject rather than because it was her.
Oh well, I wonder if she would still want to talk to me, we had discussed a tiny bit since I'm the stand-in non-Democrat/Left of the forum. Then I can't resist making my jokes.
