How many of these reeee's actually believe "everything is politics"? Not that I would disagree with that assertion (depending how it is argued), but going by the quality of reeee discourse this doesn't seem to be more than an empty phrase for them that should be translated into "I WANT TO CALL YOU A NAZI AND SAY GAMERGATE EVERY SECOND SENTENCE".
They're defining it so broadly as make it meaningless. If one can interpret something in a game in a way that then can connect it to a partisan/electoral political issue, theme or the existence of a government entity then it is a game that is "political" and thus cannot be discussed without "politics" involved.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild is interpreted as a critique of drone warfare, therefore it is inherently "political" in nature and discussing it without mentioning "politics" is impossible.
But since we know that is untrue, what it actually is, is an invitation or signal to the alt-right that their views will be promoted, especially ethnic cleansing. They aren't slick. Or journalists.
