Finally caught the new print in Queens, NY. And my first 70mm experience to boot! I can't comment on previous film prints as this was my first time seeing 2001 theatrically, but holy hell what a ride. Exceptional detail and crisp audio. Slightly noticable damage, moreso during the Dawn of Man sequence, but nothing large enough to become distracting. I also didn't notice the colors being off, but again, this was my first time seeing the film theatrically (the new Blu ray footage seems accurate to the new print). The screen size, clarity, and booming audio truly made it an immersive experience.

I might go back and see it again before it's out of the area.

And for video games, the most trivial thing in the grand scheme of things in the world to be running around screaming about.

Speaking for myself, being detached from all of this gaming/nerd culture and all the discussions on it’s importance such as gamez iz art guys!! Or how outraged you should be over the new She-Ra or Buffy’s reboot (that totally isn’t Whedon’s desperate attempt to get in people’s good graces again) has been a mental benefit. It’s not to say games can’t do better but Jesus has this conversation on culture been beaten to death. But I guess whatever makes the games press still feel relevant.

So after the latest kerfuffle, and looking more closely at the record, it came to my attention that thousands or bans were not logged into the system by a specific moderator (now a regular user on ResetWokeGAF), many of them unjustified and targeting moderate voices. I feel betrayed and I had no idea this is how things were run in my name. I will correct the situation as soon as possible.

In other news, our ad team is working tirelessly and ERAplatinum should be available by next quarter. We'll have a beta phase open for 100 accounts (we decided to limit this to 2% of the current userbase).

The amount of disingenuousness from Morrigan and the usual suspects in that thread is insane. They know damn well when it comes to sexualization they deem problematic, they are like a hungry dog with a bone. The discussion on the game becomes impossible without them butting in to the discussion to take it over, shame anyone who'd like to talk about the game, and get their mod buddies to ban anyone with a contrary opinion from theirs. That fear of mod reprisal means only one side dominates the discussion.

In this case, the inevitable take over of the discussion of the game is even less warranted since the problematic content in question is paid DLC. It is not even part of the game unless you go out of your way to pay to make it a part of the game. So Morrigan's excuse about the derailment (and it is derailment) being warranted lacks weight.


I don't know why they just can't be honest with what they want. They clearly hate anime weeb titty games, so ban it. Stop being disingenuous and say that anime titty games aren't tolerated on the site. They clearly hate conservative viewpoints.
