- Pokemon Let's go looks too casual for Pokemon veterans. They'll just wait for the real Pokemon next year.
- Pokemon GO was and still is free, Pokemon Let's go is 60$ + 300$ for the Switch. Mainstream consumers won't care.
No one will buy a 300$ device for a crappy game like Let's Go. That left only the people who own a Switch and find the main Pokemon games too obtuse, which narrow the success a lot.
Pokemon Go is at the top of the revenue chart because people spend money on it.
People are putting down $200 (console plus game) for a 7 year old system on its last dying breath to get their Pokemon fix. These arent hardcore gamers - those guys bought a 3DS 6 years ago. Casual gamers are so thirsty for more Pokemon after their Go experience they are forcing their eyes to look at a screen with 200 fucking pixels on it.
They will absolutely jump on a Switch, especially since that Pokemon game is designed based on what they like.
Pokemon Lets Go will outsell the last 3DS Pokemon game. I guarantee it.
Even if Smash will end up successful, I doubt it will reach Smash U/3DS level of success. Those two versions were already "ultimate" version for people who played the awful brawl, that's the main reason people jumped on it. It had tons of content, way better gameplay than brawl, nice graphics etc. It was a huge jump of quality from Brawl. Even if that triggers Nintards a lot, Smash Ultimate looks like Smash Wii U+. The differences are only there if you are REALLY into smash and smash sales depend on a larger audience than that.
Smash 3DS sold 8 millions on a 60 millions install base. You would be a fool to think it will make millions of people buy a Switch for it.

People putting money in Pokemon Let's go doesn't change the fact the entry-price is the lowest it could be : it's free and playable on a billion devices install-base. Pokemon Let's go will have a high price tag and will only be available on ~30m. Which makes a huge difference. People will just continue to play Pokemon Go.
You also fail to understand why the 3DS is still popular to this day (even if its sales are slowing down). Its latest model is 150$ with a huge catalogue and its popular among children. The Switch isn't made for tiny hands and smart parents think twice before putting a 300$ device in their children's hands. Even with the Switch, 3DS is still the better choice for children, which is Nintendo main audience. It's a cheap, sturdy console with a lot of games and parents don't care that much about cutting edge technology, they just want something to get the children busy while they cook/fuck/scream against eachothers. That's a point you'll understand when you'll quite being a basement dweller with a wet Luigi pillow and figure how familly and business work.
