In their and Vice's rush to try to get an outrage mob going to deplatforming him, not only did it backfire, but the dude's channel is spiking in popularity--and he's still making the same videos that triggered them. It has been a spectacular backfire. Now some are blaming Rockstar for even giving players the option to interact with or do "problematic" elements in an open-world game. I would not be surprised if they start advocating for more restrictions on open-world games because giving gamers--their most hated and disgusted demographic--the freedom to do anything breeds alt-right Nazis.

All I saw was red. I knew he had a heart condition so I punched him in his heart and started stomping on his chest like I was Stone Cold. After some people pulled me off of him I ended up never seeing him again.

I got out and so did the other individual. He was apologizing for hitting me, still had his phone on his hand and it clearly had Facebook Messenger open. I asked him why he was using his phone while driving and he said 'I'm sorry how about... -pulls out a wad of cash with a 100$ bill on top and mostly 5s, 10s, and a couple of 20s- ... 80$?'

I said: fuck your 80$. Look at my car.

He said he had insurance, but didn't have a drivers license. I immediately grabbed my phone and started getting ahold of the local PD.

He asked if I was calling the cops. Which I absolutely was because he didn't have a DL and my insurance company wants a police report.

When I told him that I was calling the police he called me a "pussy-bitch, cracker-ass, taco" and then drove off.

It was funny to me more than anything. Because I had never been called a cracker before.

Not the most racist thing I've ever heard, but certainly the most racist thing directed towards me.

My friends would come by the house a lot, but now no one does. I feel really guilty because my family is here with me, yet I still feel lonely and miserable. I used to be very insecured about myself before I was disabled but now the insecurities only exacerbated. No woman is gonna want to go out with me. I hate myself so fucking much right now!!! I can’t walk, I can’t run, I can’t move my fingers, I can’t play Videogames, I have to pee through a catheter, I have to shit using a suppository. I need help with basically everything, I constantly have nerve pain, and spasms.
Sometimes I lie in bed just crying myself to sleep just praying to Allah to spare me from this torture and suffering. And not only am I Paralyzed physically and I feel like I’m Paralyzed emotionally. Like the only emotions I go through are sadness, and anger. Goddamn Zoloft doesn’t do shit.

You have to stop thinking about things in terms of yourself and what makes you happy. There are people in your life that you rely on to keep living and so I would pivot and find ways to make their life better because as hard as you think you have it, they have it just as hard.

That's not quite how it works. Youtube will suggest related things, yes, but often times the exact opposite in content. Like you can watch a "Trump is a fascist" video and then based on that Youtube will recommend you videos from "POTUS MAGA Patriot."

I was on a baseball forum once, and for some reason I went and quoted the website Reason which itself was quoting a White KKK site for some reason on an article on Obama for an thread that devolved into a political argument. The forum admin went and deleted my post and PM me to not do that again (as polite as possible as one could write those sort of messages) as it's an easy way to get the attention of the FBI.

I'm assuming resetera is dealing with that shit right now, and they were being way more slack with policing the actual crazy shit their members are saying.

For more personal anecdotes, a long time ago at my very first job (I didn't work there long, fortunately... that place was crap regardless of the antisemitism) I was mistaken for a Jew by a former boss*, and he didn't even attempt to hide the look of massive relief when I told him I wasn't Jewish. And this was immediately after him defending a dubious, though mostly inoffensive joke he had made about my French Canadian heritage (I was the only one like that at this job, everyone else was an immigrant or 2nd gen.) and insisting he wasn't racist. Like literally mid-sentence. It went kinda like this:

-"You know, this was just a joke, we aren't racist whatsoever here, I've hired Chinese, Mexican --" (sees my pentagram necklace) "-- is that a Jewish star?!"
- "Um, no, it's a pentagram... the Star of David has six points not five"
- "Oh, thank god." (turns to the guy who hired me) "Haha, I almost yelled at you, was gonna ask what the hell you were thinking!"

* This actually happened twice... the second time being that boss' brother with a similar reaction. >_<
