Now, I don't have a problem with gender neutral pronouns. I speak Tagalog, which has genderless pronouns, and it works totally fine. I just don't like when people suggest that switching a word we've used millions of times in certain ways to mean something new ("they" being switched to mean "I know who you are and I'm going to refrain from using a gendered pronoun") is something really easy. It's simple, yes, but its meaning is so ingrained in us that it's tough to naturally use it in this new way on the fly.

There's a lot of awful people on NeoGAF that stopped talking on the forum for years, to be fair. Many came back after the whole exile thing because they felt before the exile they "couldn't have an opinion on things" and other bullcrap like that. You also have Tyler Malka openly communicating with Mombot (a known GamerGater) several months ago on Twitter saying he always gives people a second chance.

It's only gotten worse and worse over there though. It's a festering pile of garbage. They seem to be okay with associating with Kiwifarms, using code words to talk about a lot of us here, just like Kiwifarms does when targeting their victims. The code words are done so you can't name search and figure out who the person is talking about or stalking in threads. These are tactics and language adapted from Kiwifarms. They even happily use tools provided by Kiwifarms to track bans and warnings here. This is only the tip of the iceberg stuff. I was looking into this stuff months ago cause they have a thread specifically to talk about internet drama, which is mostly about this forum.
