Trump is going win again
And Jack thinks he won't because "people dislike him in troves!"
If the Democrats can't get over their infighting, they aren't going to win votes. Full stop. The fact that Marrec, Jack, et. al. still have to do this stupid bullshit infighting of Clinton vs Sanders just proves that the Democrats aren't learning shit.
For the record: I really do hope the Democrats put up a better candidate than Madam Loser, but I'm not holding my breath on that given it's been two years and liberals still have to do that stupid rehashing.
We've established that Bernie is a seething racist. It's no longer in-fighting.
Even if that's the case, telling the white folks that believe in his policies (hint: It's the Economy, stupid) to "fall in line" isn't going to win them votes. Which is my whole point, this whole "Bernie vs Clinton" two years later is dumb. Bring his policies (economic) and whatever bullshit progressive values she believes (hint: I don't buy that bullshit, but...) together and get the platform solid.
I mean, it's a no-brainer isn't it? There was a great article in the New York Times about how much harder it is to garner support on the left because liberal politics covers the mantle of all sorts of people that wouldn't normally have any shared interests interdependent of each other. Gay rights, black rights, displaced workers from globalization, etc. Within, you read about how these groups feel like they're competing rather than uniting -- they all have to be guided, explained and "taught" to understand why they should team up with each other, which feels patronizing. You literally have to get a representative to white-splain, man-splain, and black-splain policy to unite them; an act that is an unacceptable imposition in and of itself. Black people don't want to hear from a white leader about their indigence and transgressions in society. Poor white people don't want to hear from a black leader about how marginalized black folk need need corrective measures in a systematically racist system. People that are against climate change may not want a system advocating for more lenient immigration rules from South American countries.
It all reads like they have contempt for their own party, and so they influence their politicians with negative reinforcement. Negative reinforcement all day. Now I have to spend my time, energy, and reputation justifying my vote and arguing like I'm Spinoza against the world because a meaningful amount of people decided Bernie Sanders is a racist. Meanwhile conservatives are fine with a guy that is a clueless dipshit 99% of the time, acknowledge it as acceptable as long as they can positively reinforce his behavior and cajole him to their established policy goals.
