- I don't quite get why Optimus or Assimilate needed to be banned; or why threads get closed.  Seems like this forum is just kinda lax and runs fine normally so not sure why it needs moderation much at all.   2 day bans also aren't that big of a deal though.
- However having said that, etiolate was purposefully trying to fuck up the forum.. was banned, and then came back to repeat the behavior.  That's textbook self-banning behavior;  it has nothing to do with moral character and everything to do with what moderation should be there for.. to make the forum not a complete nuisance to it's users.  And if the occasional thread lock or banning shit heels is what keeps moderators interested in this forum enough to be around if someone decides to dead-kid spam or porn spam, then perhaps the ends justify the means?  Give a dog a bone and all that.

That's a pet peeve of mine and yes, it's amazing how "movie buff" in some circles is no longer about... Well, films and filmmaking but discussing the box office (or awards, etc...).
