The problem is that it's not a good product. Female tennis is entertaining and a clear level of skill is on display, plus it benefits from having the greatest female tennis player active and winning (Serena). Yea it doesn't compare to male tennis but it's still good. Whereas the skill level in the WNBA is so much lower on every level it might as well be a different sport, and there are no "great" single players who stir interest or ratings.
There was a small time when it first started that they had two fairly legitimate stars in Sheryl Swoops and Lisa Leslie. Went downhill after they retired.
Of course the hypocrisy of Ree is always on display. As mentioned earlier where is the WNBA Thread? Where is the NBA Live 19 thread/sticky to promote the WNBA teams and that females can now capture themselves in the game. If 50+% of gamers are female this should make Live a dangerous threat to 2K.
Where is Anita Sarkeesian? She should be shooting from the rooftops getting all those females and woke males to buy this game, to support women. Where is she? Bitching about some other injustice because that is what people like her care about.
EA probably lost a cointoss to 2K Sports over who would have to implement the WNBA first because the NBA wanted it to get exposure in video game form.
