Did you ever feel like you've lost the ability to connect with people? I pretty much don't have any friends and outside of work + family at home, I don't really socialize with anyone anymore. I tried joining some clubs at school but some of them weren't really for me or just didn't offer the chance to really met new people and develop friendships.

In my experience it's really hard to find fulfilling friendships with people other than family.

Having some serious anxiety just to come here and ask a dumb question lol.

So, how should I deal with trying to talk to or interact with people online and possibly make friends? I'm playing Destiny 2 and I've reached a point where in order to progress I need to play with people. Every time I join the queue for a guided game and it pops I cancel because anxiety hits really hard and I get upset with myself. I try not to overthink it but I just can't help it.

It's not just online either, I have a hard time going to places because of interaction. I don't remember when was the last time I even made a friend in general. Probably High School, which was around 12 years ago... damn.

Is that why Beefy is so protected?

Those were two other random posts I grabbed out of the Mental Health OT down the page from his post that were examples of what I used to see in the GAF thread all the time. And it's often people just coming in, dumping, then never coming back until they need to dump again. Plus lots of self-diagnosing. And self-medicating. And the GAF thread always seemed to have lots of therapy refusal in it. Which actually is common with mental health issues, but certainly shouldn't be in a help thread.

I think we've had a discussion before about how the GAF version was likely toxic and probably making things worse for lots of people.

Everything you do in life is based on trial and error. These games embracing that is showing the rest of the industry that it might, in fact, be the GREATEST type of game design as long as it's done well and rewards the player much like real life rewards you for taking those risks and sticking with it. Bloodborne is the best game in it's genre (whatever that genre is) specifically because it has almost NO comfort zone to lean back on. The game forces you into embracing risk-taking as an important part of anything you do.

If you want an escape from the stress of life, this game is not for you.

I have spent countless hours playing all Diablo games on the PC since 1996...

And hearing that Diablo 3 was coming to Switch got me a bit excited. I say a bit because having spent so much time on D3 PC, the possibility of playing D3 on the go sounds great BUT I don't know if Diablo 3 alone is enough for me.

I remember I stopped playing D3 for a reason. Somehow I got sick of it. And I think the best way to re-play the game would be if Diablo on Switch had all 3 games. I think Diablo 1 & 2 would be awesome on the go. A great way to introduce the first two games to younger generations who never played them and I think there has never been a better opportunity to do this than the Switch.

I reviewed PlayALLTheGames but his ratio of trump sperging to sports posting wasn't high enough, unless there's some choice posts you want to link me. Playallthegames and Beefy both have 27 action-replies, but Beefy gets posted about so he's obviously relevant. RedMercury's action-reply count is 41 which puts him in the higher range.
