to be honest i get worried even clicking on links to resetera these days given the rampant unchecked racism on there. i keep a regulated number of black friends and the idea of any of them finding out i've been on that site even for purposes of cross racial research to improve our relationship sends shivers down my spine.

How do you ban someone that posts 80-85 times every single day on your forum.  At that point you assume some sort of health risk liability for someone like that if you ban them.

I do like how cheeky deltaplus is as a name though.

One thing that this brought up is how can we run experiments more quickly without making massive changes to the entire site. We'll be thinking about how to avoid these long downtimes in the future as well to make this a bit easier on everyone.

That was it. The good will from that doesn't last forever and it sucks they're still considered above everyone else, segregating us from what feels like where the real feedback is heard. I'm just lucky I thought ahead and had a noticeable amount including B---y on my ignore list, which btw today has shown people need to stop feeling afraid to use that function. It's there for a reason

Was it really? The fact is there are some members that contribute more to the community overall than others at the end of the day through updating things like community threads and OT's. It doesn't mean they get preference in skirting the TOS, but of course when there's a large change that will effect their threads they should be asked. It seems the main problem people have with it isn't that that kind of group exists, it's that they aren't deemed a part of it (and I'm not either, I don't post in Hangouts much at all). I don't get the big fuss over it. It just stands to reason if a change is being made to help a certain group of people more than another group that one group should be considered preferential as far as being consulted.

Remember when incelsiorlef got banned for 3 minutes and became borderline suicidal?  Originally banned for a few days but the decision was reversed in a few minutes and afterward she posted about how devastating it was not being able to shitpost for 3 minutes.  Absolutely a health risk liability.
