What i find funny/disturbing is how much the gaming landscape is being overrun by people like this. It's starting to encompass a large portion of the gaming community, for the worse. Only hugely popular games like Fortnite where dudebros still run dominate can you escape it.

Everything else though? Shit is doomed. Where as our generation grew up on games and stuck with it into their 30s/40s i suspect the newer generation of 'normal gamers' will abandon the hobby much earlier.

Almost everyone I know plays videogames. Actually I should say they play videogame. One. For some it's minecraft, for other fortnite, others FIFA but nearly all of them only play one game

I know a blind guy who uses an iPod Touch (maybe it's an iPhone, can't recall) for a lot of stuff.  It has an option that basically voices everything.  Ditto for his laptop.  He's a programmer and has no issues with his work.  The laptop also has an application that reads everything out (super fast) that comes up and IIRC handles navigation in a different way.  He asked me to do something on his laptop one time and it was pretty confusing.

My avatar has a tiny heart on the sleeve of the suit. This is to remind me to "wear my heart on my sleeve" when I'm here so everyone knows how much I care about them. But I do much more reading than I do posting now. It sort of comes with the territory.

I, like many others, would have nowhere else to go without ResetEra and believe very strongly in this community. I wish people took it more upon themselves to foster a positive feeling among members, but these are dark times. I think a lot of people use the forum as a comforting distraction and they bring a lot of anger and anxiety with them. This can affect the mood and the tone of the forum, but I try to be forgiving of that, because this is one of the only places we many thousands have to take refuge.

We must love each other. We are all we have.

Something occurred to me while playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Jonah is a loser. He is like this guy. I have no idea why he exists in the story. He is just there. I got the impression that Eidos wanted to score some diversity points and have a non-white person in a game predominantly with indigenous people to protect themselves against racism accusations. But why is he so boring?

I know that some people in the industry are SJWs, and usually they don't consider "others" as humans like them. Instead they treat them as completely different creatures to be paraded around in some kind of human zoo. But it doesn't have to be this bad! Here is a revolutionary idea, what if SJWs started treating non-white characters as human, with life objectives of their own and motivations?

Why is Jonah there? Doesn't he have a family or a job? Is he in it for pussy? Or for treasure? Or maybe he is just Lara's employee so it is just a job for him? He doesn't look like an adventurer. He doesn't have any skill that Lara might need. Lara and Jonah look like a married couple in a sexless marriage.

Before anyone point me to some wiki somewhere, this should be part of the story. I finished the game and it makes him look like a dickless freak.
