It's about time some people gets vocal about this and not just wishy washy "could you not" beccause it's just doesn't work best proof of it is that right after getting to a design like Chris Lightfellow ( that I already shared over here) when we thought that we didn't have to say it anymore , it went back to the lazy T&A in full force , and is only getting worse and worse as time goes by.While when I was a kid we went from "Curse of the Azure Bonds" cover art to Chris in early PS 2 era so in only (and yet was way too long of a road to climb ) 13 measly years we were finaly droping those tropes.At some point it's about time to realize that being nice about it just straight up doesn't work .

Nier might have lost sales, and gained sales at the same time from different people. Its impossible to know the extent, but the amount of people who did not give Nier:A a chance simply due to the atire im guessing are lesser than those who bought it partially because that appealed to them. It was however, much easier to suspend disbelief with the androids dress code and irreverance toward current societal norms in their post apocalyptic setting and story.

I played Dragon's Crown despite all the hate the game got for the Sorceress design.... On the flipside I do not expect a Vanillaware game to be void of sexualization , I know what I'm in for and from the very start. Heck all characters designs tell it to you from the start , but the ennemies too are eroticized to an extent (at least in dragon's crown even the ennemies were sexy ) you're legit bathing from head to toes in a sexyness setup ...

Thing is Odin Sphere ain't exactly the same case scenario than Dark Souls to me. What you people don't get is that the game was so far up until I met with Gwynevere an adaptation of "Le Cyle d' Eiween" without having the books rights- at least that's what it felt like. In other words it was a low magic dark fantasy deep dive of the European kind. So although you can have a very pretty Giant lady as a striking moment of beauty , you're in a very specific genre setup calling for a very specific mood where gratuitous titillation is not only off putting but legit killing the mood.That cleavage window had it not been here would have made for a real striking and real pleasant moment especially given what lebanese fairly tale she is a call back to .
