And it's not me being a snowflake or looking for something to be offended about. You look at the song "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC, it's 100% a metaphor for how much life on the road sucks, it's not meant to be taken literally. In this case, the reverse is true, the title IS meant to be taken literally, you play as an Ape, you get out of your cage, and now you need to murder everything in sight.

Hell, even if you look past the name, the content should erase the possibility of any dogwhistling. You play AS THE APE. The Ape IS THE HERO. The humans are seen as THE BAD GUYS. If it was the reverse (you having to kill a bunch of lunatic escaped gorillas) then yeah, I'd have more of a problem, as if anything, if you want to make the content a metaphor for racism, it's AGAINST the racists and police brutality and FOR black people!

It's like if a game came out called "The Final Solution" where you play as a Jew in a Nazi death camp and have to try to escape. The name, on first glance, makes it sound like it supports antisemitism, but the content says otherwise.

Tl:dr: I jumped to a conclusion when I first saw the game and my mind went to the incorrect place, and I now see that I was wrong and apologize for bringing it up.

Being fair, she has been consistent in saying that she doesn’t hate video games and don’t actually want anything banned... is just obvious she has a extreme contempt for the hobby and doesn’t even bother in play the games she is criticizing.

I just saying she sucked at it most of the time. And that is kind of infuriating given that there is legit criticism or good points she could make but she undermined. One video of her had a really good example of how video game marketers tried to appeal to consumers with sexuality provocative stuff but the it devolved in complaining about Hitman missions being sexist because she was able to kill female NPC.

Carolyn Petit was the one that did a pretty terrible article about Naoto being trans and Atlus being cowards for not addressing this.

And I’m one of the guys that think you may have a case with Kanji being gay.

Being fair, she has been consistent in saying that she doesn’t hate video games and don’t actually want anything banned... is just obvious she has a extreme contempt for the hobby and doesn’t even bother in play the games she is criticizing.

Sounds like she's more appreciative of the hobby than the average Reset poster...
