Curly and Mandark in the wank thread seem to have been the match that lit the fuse. Between his wank dad self-radicalizing and increasingly letting his antagonistic and narcissistic relationship with most of the board build up across multiple threads, with more and more people(especially the proclaimed "coward" Mandark), dude was a growing powder keg just waiting for a spark imo... Probably didn't help that all he seemed to be doing when I saw him in the garbage bin thread was lurking Resetera for comments that fed his increasingly angry/hostile outlook.
