In an interview, she tried to claim that she felt like her life was in danger. Kind of a pathetic way to weasle out of what she consented to saying.

Ah, she used the same defense as Spencer. Interesting.

Yeah, I just meant they both used fear to justify their actions, and I think they are both full of rich, creamy shit.

Sacha’s done more for America than that loser prostitute Hillary has done since she lost the election, cast America into chaos, and crawled under a rock like a pathetic worm.

the manipulation in that piece felt ickier than the other stuff he does and detracted from an otherwise flawless ep. it smacked of more serious issues, particularly the power dynamic of a rich old white dude (both his character and real self) with a crew of enablers manipulating a young, relatively powerless woman into doing something she's uncomfortable with. have you ever been in a room by yourself being directed by someone 'influential' and their crew, being pressured to do something? i did some modelling when i was poor and desperate ~18/19, got into some gross situations where i questioned shit but did just kinda shut down and do i what i was told. i wasnt harassed or molested, but i am in some fairly revealing young adonis gay soft porn mags :-* which was not made clear beforehand...

They all have ridiculous excuses as to why they all did what they did. I've seen a number of interviews from the people. Instead of just admitting you know it was a stupid thing I said, and I did, and I apologize and I'll learn from it, there is always an excuse based around the fact we all know. They got tricked.

No duh. We know they got tricked. We know they were lied to. That is the whole point.  (Not aimed at you of course. Aimed at the excuses they toss out)
I dunno. Joe Walsh did exactly that, and his comments were some of the most heinous. It's a lot better if they just say they were pressured into saying something they didn't really understand. I wouldn't be caught dead admitting I intentionally said "from first grader to first grenadier." I would kill myself out of shame.

If I had a six year old and anyone around me suggested that my kid and/or their classmates should get weapon training because of school gunmen, I would consider them twisted and disgusting individuals who are a danger to my child and I would never purposefully interact with them ever again. It crosses such an obvious moral boundary that even though the segment was hilarious, this sick aftertaste lingers in my mouth. That's why I don't really have any sympathy for the people who were "tricked" except for maybe Dana Rohrabacher.

I saw that one. I don't consider what he gave an apology or real admission of dumbness on his part. At least in the interview I saw. His comment was more along the lines of I was tricked by an evil master schemer and on immoral grounds. They immediately shifted the conversation to Sarah Palin to try to bring up tricking Sarah Palin by being a veteran and how if true that crosses a line. It still doesn't cross a line to me if he did pretend he was a veteran. But that's me.

Yeah I'm just going to have to say intelligent people can disagree on this one and that is fine. I believe you are earnest about what you are saying. I just don't agree in this situation. That women is 26. She's been on reality television which is as fake as anything SBC does imo. If there is some real evidence brought out that he threatened her in some way that was significant then I'll open my mind to another judgement. But I also think its easy to use whatever justification you can find when you find yourself in an embarrassing predicament.

Not disagreeing that she's an idiot. I also was, and still am. SBC was punching way down with that piece. That's bullying, not satire.

from the Arizona town link I posted:

However, speaking to The Washington Post, the town’s mayor has said that she ‘didn’t recognise a soul’ in the video, and has slammed Cohen for implying Kingman is racist.

I will take a risky guess that these it-girls aren't exactly underpaid for doing very little outside of looking good and being snarky on camera. Whatever fascination people have with these kind of celebrities also can't hurt to be a little questioned.

No, I was satirizing  the Kingman mayor who said "she didn't recognize a soul in the video," juxtaposing it with the way Evilore pretended he didn't know Amir0x when the pedo stuff came out.

Whole thing is crazy. Kingman has a population like 30k people... it’s nuts to think the Mayor would recognize every resident of town.

That said, i do think Sasha stacked the deck somehow by the way he advertised this. Because those are not the people that usually come to like city council meetings or whatever. Like he put up mosque fliers in trailer parks or something.

Yeah I was expecting him to throw those guys under the bus. I was pausing the entire episode. Reset-man is the most Ali G character in the way that he mostly makes a fool of himself rather than exposing other people.
