I want to talk about cultures and how some cultures will never, and i mean, never get out from underneath the gutter in which they were spawned. I hate these cultures.
Let's take for example a certain latin american culture. I so happen to be spending the weekend at a friends house in a very affluent part of this city. This place is probably worth, i dunno, quarter of a million dollars. That's a lot for this country. Easily puts you well above the average, and into the upper middle to rich class of society.
So, here i am writing on TheBore on a Sunday night, a normal Sunday by most accounts only that i have mosquitos constantly attacking me from all angles. Why?
Well, for one builders in this fucking shithole don't have any real guidelines. They can almost do whatever they want. One of those things is not PUTTING UP SCREEN DOORS/WINDOWS. Think about this for a second. A tropical climate with tons of mosquitos (some of them carrying horrible diseases) and NO SCREENS required for new constructions. Does that make any sense?
Ok, no big deal right, Assy being hateful, but then what about the people that live in them? They absolutely refuse to put up screens. Why? Is it expensive? I mean, it costs money, but hardly going to break the bank. So what's the issue? WHAT THE FUCK IS THE ISSUE. Most of these residences do not have central AC, windows must be open at all times and therefore logic would dictate that mosquitos in this tropical climate are bound to get in by the dozen, and they do, and it's why i'm sitting here having to swat them dead with an electric fucking racket.
I have even offered to pay for it installed just so i never have to fucking go through this again when visiting. I've been refused to even suggest the offer, because in their eyes "it doesn't work they get in anwyays" sure, they get in, they're sneaky and will sneak in when the door is open, but BUT they won't come in by the fucking hundreds during the goddamn day and hide under your fucking bed you fucking distinguished mentally-challenged fellows.
This is what brings me to culture. There are some cultures in this world that if you happen to be born into, you are fucked. These cultures may never join the modern world, they may never end corruption in their state, they may never achieve a goddamn thing worth talking about besides over-reproducing and fucking up their own ecosystem.
That's just the way this is. It's not racism, bigotry, it's a function of a SHITTY FUCKING CULTURE.
