Not to mention that it created this 'myth' that hashtags could change things. So whenever a big terrorist, war, geopolitical event happened you'd have people who could actually make a difference (like Samantha Powers at the UN) post #StandWithUkraine instead.

In the beginning everyone accused was getting railroaded out of their job with no due process (Al Franken for example). Now it’s like “sometimes women lie”.

 I’m not sure if, after Chloe Dykstra or Karen Monahan, if Me Too is doing more good or more bad. You get a couple of high profile cases out there where the woman is probably lying or is a huge hypocrite herself and it reaffirms a lot of people’s beliefs that women lie about sexual assault all the time.
