I am looking so much to playing Tropical Freeze when I get a Switch.

The Switch. Just like the Wii U before it and the Wii before it. Is my least used console. With hardly any interesting support from Nintendo.

Oh boy a dumbed down Pokemon and another installment in special fellow fighter are whats it for this year. Oh and a new Xenoblade thing. Which is related to the bad Xenoblade thing.

What’s so great about Nintendo?

They make games I like and I like their systems. Nintendo GB, GBA. DS, and 3DS were mainstays for me. SNES is one of my favorite systems. The only system I have more games for than the Nintendo DS is the ps2. Switch has games that interest and appeal to  me more as an old gamer than ps4. Switch has more platforming and arcade games including my favorite franchises like Zelda and Animal Crossing. Ps4 is my fighting game machine and the occasional jrpg. I just like Nintendo and it’s ok that you don’t but this thread ain’t about that.

I also love Mario a lot.

I feel like Nintendo games allow me to keep enjoying games. A lot of the stuff I used to really love like Sony systems are about what’s current but that doesn’t mean that I will find what’s current to be “what’s good”. So people are all about Horizon but I’m kind of done with that kind of game. I’m at a point in my gamer life where I want the predictable, reliable, traditional.

I mean, I like Nintendo when they make good systems and/or games I'm into- still gonna troll Nintendo stans but that goes for Sony stans and MS stans do.  Being a "console warrior" made sense when I was like eight- maybe.  Back then the big arguments were "SEGA GENSIS IS THE BEST CUZ IT'S 16-BIT!  NINTENDO SUCKS CUZ IT'S 8-BIT!!!"  Not really any less intelligent than the drivel on REEEE and the like these days, I suppose.

The Switch is basically the Vita 2.0 with more support and a better way to play games on a TV, so I'm all over it.  Happy to buy all the Wii U ports Nintendo does.  Just need a few more and I can get rid of the Wii U.

I only played, like, one Wii U game [Xenoblade] and it was on a borrowed system, and for a few years figured that I was pretty much done with Nintendo. But now? Playing tons of Switch games.

I probably spend more time playing games on my Xbox or PS4 but bar-none I think nintendo is the best publisher.

Not every game they make is great, but they’re one of the most prolific characters and very few of the games are total trash.

Also they play on nostalgia. And they saved Bayonetta.

Besides Mario Odyssey, every other game the Snap Switch has (that I'd consider playing) is on other systems that I already own.    I work from home, so the portability of it is moot.
