I kinda want to get that Genesis classics for my Switch- lazy late night rpgs in bed on the Switch is the best. But I have Tales of Vesperia coming in a couple weeks and still have to finish I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphear before then, so.

Some of that stuff is just for le collection and will stay sealed in the hopes I can sell it off later for a profit.  I got lucky on some of those limited game production runs- one game I paid like $30 for, Gryphon Knight Epic, now sells for $300+. 

I kinda want to get that Genesis classics for my Switch- lazy late night rpgs in bed on the Switch is the best. But I have Tales of Vesperia coming in a couple weeks and still have to finish I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphear before then, so.

It's not too bad apart from the long-ish initial load time when you start it up.  I didn't play it until like a week after release and it got patched once or twice before I tried it- apparently it launched with some issues but the patch seems to have taken care of it.  If you're gonna get anything, try Monster Boy.  It's really good!

Got a Roku and some money. Roku is actually way better than I ever expected. Really slick UI and has great wireless reception on my projector setup in the living room. Installed Plex as well so can stream video files from the computer onto it. Good stuff. Also got a book and some wine.

There may be a volume 3 coming out next year, too!  Play-Asia is starting to stock a lot of physical releases that I didn't know about either, including games developed in 'Murica like recent Ghouls N' Ghosts tribute game Battle Princess Madelyn.

I picked up a couple of Roku Expresses on sale cheap a year or so back after getting tired of having performance problems with an Apple TV.  Wished I'd done it sooner- Roku is amazing.  I also have a Roku built into one of my TVs and it works equally as well, unlike the Samsung in our bedroom- their "Smart TV" interface and apps are slow and shitty as hell.  But that's what the other Express was for!

Man, fuck those other games- those are the best two!    You missed a few chances to get Tetris Effect for $20 physical, although TBH it's the kind of game I'd rather have digitally so I can be lazy and boot it up whenever.  Hoping they make a PC version too.  Tetris Effect plays like...well, Tetris, and gameplay-wise it's what you'd expect.  What makes it stand out are the Mizuguchi-style HOLY FUCK I AM TRIPPING BALLS RIGHT NOW visuals and audio.  It's insane in a good way.  Note that it's single player only though. 

I've only played a little bit of Monster Boy, but it's super, super solid and I can see why it keeps making all these GOTY lists.  It's really good, but at the same time, I can see it going on sale pretty quickly.  Worth the full $40 easily,  however.

Yeah I probably would've bought the physical at $20 but I'll probably play it more often that I have it digital at $40. Especially since it's VR. I never touch any VR game that's on a disc because it's just easier to pop the VR headset on and play some Astrobot and Beat Saber and whatever VR, so digital probably worked out better.

Got Monster Boy physical since if it's really good will lend it around to friends who have a Switch.

I usually don't ask for things for Christmas (even though everybody always seems to ask every year), but I noticed my dad has like seven external hard drives now. And he said like he gets em off Target/Walmart clearance and stuff.

So I said if he saw a good cheap one I could use it, dunno if it actually was a clearance deal but got me a 4TB one.

After backing up nearly ever piece of regular and totally non-pirated data (musak, old game magazines, comics, half of the entire PS1 and Saturn libraries, the entire N64 library, etc.) I had on my other drives and for the first time really seeing how fast USB 3.0 actually is, I have 2.7 TB left. I feel like I should fill it with porn or something just out of principle. Maybe the rest of the PS1 and Saturn libraries. (So I guess ideally any PS1 and Saturn porn games.)
