JJ s3 is the last thing, unless they announce a new show (lmao) or renew Punisher or JJ again (unlikely.)
DD, LC, IF, and Defenders are all ded.
I think Disney's just pulling all their IP into a Disney direct streaming service. It's about maintaining control of their own stuff.
The shows can't be revived on another service for like 2-4 years or something. Sooooo have fun waiting.
You and I both know Disney plans around the long game.
Oh for sure Disney is planning more Daredevil. But it's gonna be an all new show and continuity (with actual name-drop ties to Avengers instead of "green man" and "flag waver.")
The "new continuity" being MCU proper, and not some amorphous "Marvel TV" mess.
Honestly this was all probably inevitable after Inhumans flopped so badly. It was a huge passion project of the dude running Marvel TV. And keep in mind Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are pretty siloed as far as "corporate continuity-sharers" go.
So now Marvel TV is basically getting a giant axe, and Marvel Studios is entering "TV" properly with Disney's service.
Hence A-List MCU actors like Hiddleston and Olsen getting shows. Full shared continuity will be possible, but it's at the expense of the current age.
Maybe the new MCU DD show (with all recasted actors, nache) will be just as good. I think that's doubtful so I'm upset at the corporate dickwaving.
