This is always my go-to movie for genre whiplash!  It's not even that much of one but it's the best example I can think of

I heard Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 did this and had soccer moms fainting in the aisles at the graphic violence the filmmakers put in because fucking nothing happened for the entire movie and they wanted to put in a climactic battle scene even if it was nothing but someone's prescient vision

Lol no. I want to show that trans people can be like everyone else. Those kinda of stories are needed but I wanted to do movies that can be genre flicks that just happen to have trans protagonists and villains.

It’s a horror/thriller about a crazy nurse that rips off girls nails. It’s about beauty standards, with focus on how they affect the psychology of black Women with different skin types.
