Scar's voice is great both ways. I happen to agree that Jeremy Irons is more appealing and dramatically and theatrically instant to me, but he's also comically villainous to the point where his (initally) nice voice is not even remotely convincing - so from the performance perspective I'll wait to see the whole thing - buuuuut the reality of Africans and African Americans being denied or ignored for roles as ... African animals is real enough to be considered and most of the white folks are comic relief - so.... I'll allow it?
