Quote
Another former Tumblr follower, Asa, explained that they first became a ProJared fan through the game Asagao Academy: Normal Boots Club—“a dating simulator game that features fictionalized dateable versions of a group of popular YouTubers in a high school setting.” According to the game’s Kickstarter, Asagao Academy “is a free fan-made otome game (romance-oriented visual novel from a female perspective) based on the guys of Normal Boots.” The “ProJared/Jared” character is described as “the most attractive person in the school.”

Quote
A screenshot taken by Bren appears to show a SinJared post from 2016, in which Knabenbauer wrote, “This is to be a safe, welcoming place. I can’t have random people showing up and cause problems, or be underage, or whatever. I need your help maintaining that. 1. You do not talk about sinjared. 2. YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT SINJARED.” In retrospect, Bren felt that this secrecy mandate “shows that he knew that there was something predatory about what he was doing.”

Condensing two books that are thousands of pages long (and that they havn't read) into two seasons is clearly child's play. How did they fail at such a simple task!?!

 :rage

Why did they have to condense it to just one season though?  I’ve largely enjoyed season 8 and love to laugh at the reactions on reera.  That being said, the writers have fucked up quite a bit since they ran out of source material and rushing things along this season isn’t doing them any favors either.

Probably key elements like:

- actors wanting to move on
- HBO wanting to push the prequels with GRRM outlines.
- Other hidden reasons.
- Tired IP now that the books are no longer there as source material

I always like how they completely ignore gay / bi women when talking about sexualized female characters.

An actual thing my wife said yesterday:  "I love anime bodies, it's like an exaggeration of everything I love about women's bodies"

How is it not "queer erasure" to assume only men stare at anime tiddies?

Post that on reset, you coward! You won't.

Don't you mean 8? More precisely, the Simpsons should have ended after the first episode of season 9 ("The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson"), before The Principal and the Pauper (the Armin Tamzarian episode).

It simply boggles my mind that those choads at RE will stan all day for Endgame and Star Wars with all the bad writing and logic fails that abound in them (especially TLJ), but GoT is now beyond the pale. I mean FFS, Dany's heel turn has been gigantically forecasted and derided by fuckwits there, but they'll defend the super secret shuttle plan in TLJ.

It's funny, because the reason Era is such a toxic shithole that you get side eyed as an actual literal nazi if you didn't like The Last Jedi - which isn't exactly fucking The Female Eunuch - is due to its moderation and a few of its protected members "who are simply having none of that" - 'none of that' being the basic courtesy of accepting a contrary opinion as being a contrary opinion, and not some fucking psyop by unknown enemy agents

Let's just post this whole thing because we have to:
Quote from: James Davenport, Associate Editor for PC Gamer
Elon Musk, Rick and Morty fan and billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX who smoked weed once, is an indecently rich man who could use his money to solve a lot of problems today, but instead chooses to make electric cars for other rich people and crash rockets into boats. And how he's the butt of a bad joke in Rage 2 as part of a secret mission.

While wandering the wasteland, I notice some alluring bunker doors embedded in the side of a mountain and as we all know, if there's a bunker there's probably a lonely, mad person inside (or at least the skeleton of one).

This particular lonely, mad person goes by Elton Tusk, as the data pads strewn about the bunker say. He's the former—well, technically, current CEO of Tusk Industries, if you want to continue to believe in capitalist hierarchies in the post-apocalypse.

Posters reference space travel and eco-pods and nanotrites, data pads detail Tusk's great imagination, innovative technologies, and obscene wealth—all of which are directly contributing to the power struggles in Rage 2's apocalypse scenario. Let's line up the evidence:

Elton Tusk = Elon Musk
CEO of a company researching space travel, nanomachines, useless things
Rich guy deemed a "great science mogul"

It's an Elon Musk bit, no doubt about it.

As I move through the bunker, Tusk harries me and hails himself, threatening my small stature while boasting about power and intellect beyond comprehension.

I'm called a few more names before I enter a large circular room. Elton's going to sic his robots on me, but they're no longer functional. I like to think they abandoned him. One falls to the ground, a crude machine that looks like a sharp tooth with handle bars.

Elton is in the next room, and as expected, he's much smaller and sadder than his bombast.

Dude's a brain in a jar. Not only that, but the cyber void he's been living in all this time has emptied out. What used to be filled with light and sound and information is now darkness.

It's not a particularly strong joke on Avalanche's part because it lacks specificity and more direct jabs at Elon's many public blunders, but it's a tiny, warm pocket of cosmic justice in a cold world. I'll take it.
He wrote ~400 words explaining and criticizing an ingame joke because he's butthurt about who the joke is about?

I've never witnessed a more suicide prone group so unwilling to consider therapy.  `If TVC can do it why can't they?

Most of them aren't actually suicidal; they're just using it as a lame attention/sympathy grab and/or virtue signal, and an excuse for their shitty socially inept behavior.  It's actually pretty fucking insulting to those that have legitimate mental issues.

Please make sure when making a joking reference to a real world person that I hate to list all of that persons public blunders and moral crimes along with being more specific than changing the name slightly so that I know that you're mocking him more directly and won't have to make sure that you're mocking who I think your mocking by tallying up all the evidence. Thanks, Associate Freelance Comedy Editor at benji v. the video games.

hypothetical Borderlands 3 reference to a "President Ronald Drumpf" occurs

*James Davenport pulls out a large white board*
*writes "A reference to D*nald T*ump?" at the top*
*draws a line down the center of the rest of the board, labels the left side "Evidence For", labels the right side "Evidence Against"*

Maybe Elton Tusk is a reference to Donald Tusk which shows Bethesda‘s blatant pro Brexit and alt-right views after they used gamergate tactics against Jason Schreier?

thanks for this pc gamer

the claim seemed pretty spurious until you laid out out like this so succinctly, at first I was confused about who this could possibly be referencing

This is an ok post, but there's some problems I am seeing. I'm not sure what is going in the OP with the over-usage of quotations marks and asterisks, but it makes the post itself extremely difficult to read. Additionally, when you're outlining this as some form of breakdown on a situation, it is strange that many of these points are raised without citation or linking to the referenced incident.

Two examples:

Quote
James Davenport pulls out a large white board
A statement like this needs to have some sort of citation or elaboration. What is a whiteboard? Who is James Davenport?

Quote
writes "A reference to D*nald T*ump?" at the top
While I know the referenced sources here, it would be to your benefit to provide those sources so a reader unfamiliar with the situation can access the information for themselves.

"ProJared should be fucked up by other jail inmates" = 3 days.
"You salty with GoT ?" = 1 week.

On the bright side it's no longer alt right and fan fragility to criticize the direction Disney® Star Wars© on vague grounds with petitions and shit.

Being fair, is probably easier to do given they are making a “strong female character” nutty.
