Probably won't ever play it online anyway, so don't really care.  That local multiplayer option sounds insane, gotta see that running.  :lol

I hope this release also drives the price of the PS2 Sega Ages VR game way down.  Shit sells for as much as $200 now. :dizzy

I wonder how it holds up, the best Sega racer is Sega Rally though.

I hope the new one coming out ends up turning out well, but am not expecting much- most of the staff who worked on the first two aren't on this one.   :-\

It's all Sanic and his shitty friends only this time, no other Sega crossover characters. it's almost impressive that they've somehow managed to fuck up their cart racer. :holeup I'd have been day one if they were building upon Transformed instead of, like, being Sega.

Yeah basically, and I never even played it back in the day so it's like a brand new game for me. :rejoice

Sonic Transformed was a love letter to all the awesome Sega IPs that were created over the years. It was bittersweet too because almost all of them were badly mismanaged. It’s only fitting that the sequel to such a good game gets mismanaged too. It wouldn’t be a Sega IP otherwise.

I gotta give it to Sega rally

But Sega racers in general are key.

VR is out on 4/25 (so 4/24 in 'Murica!) in Japan.  Still no release date elsewhere yet- gonna grab this off the J-eShop for sure.

Yeah, pretty sure all the Sega Ages collection were essentially perfect. I still have my copies of them all.

I want to say M2 did that port, too?  I never got to play it.  But hey, this one gives you dat 16:9, super-clean 720P and 1080P (docked), 8P local, and 2P online multiplayer...for less than 10 bucks.

Yeah, all the Sega Ages were by M2. That's why I'm super hyped on the Genesis collection.
Although if Sega put out a Saturn-Mini or DC-Mini and M2 ported 40 classics perfectly to them with all the bells & whistles I think I'd faint.

Fwiw, I'm gonna grab this Switch port :)

PS2 was not even close to a perfect port.  Did not know this.
