To be fair to EA Bioware is dogshit for the past decade while Respawn is still hot fire gameplay wise.

Im more excited for this then if Bioware was touching the IP with its shitty writing, clunky gameplay and ubisoftish collectathonitis theh have developed a knack for since DA:I

Current Respawn definitely has a better chance of putting out an actual good game that isn't half-finished than current Bioware does.

Generic af trailer, zero Star Wars feel. Some shots look like they were from Soul Calibur PS2 CG intros. Gameplay PR sounds nice, but it's just PR.

That character art for the Visceral game looked a little less lame, but I'm not losing sleep over it. Dead Space is cool, but Uncharted is trash and I wouldn't have expected Hennig to channel her superior Legacy of Kain writing.

Also to be fair Titanfall 2’s SP campaign was better than all 3 Dead Space games, so we’ll probably get a better game out of this.

I like Dead Space but as the series went on it was increasingly more apparent it was just a right place right time game. It’s just sorta a B+ RE4 in space for DS1/2. I don’t like TF2 that much, but I gotta admit it was pretty creative and imaginative and a good campaign.

Dead Space 1 was decent but I felt it went a bit too long and the scary spots got incredibly predictable. But I did finish it! I have at least 1 of the sequels on Steam but I've never touched it.

I feel like it’s hard to compare dead space and Titanfall 2. The genres are just really different.

I did preorder this Star Wars joint though.

DS1 was really cheap with the jump scares, but it had good gameplay, good weapons and enemies and a great art direction.

Dead Space is basically a straight lift of art design (and plot!) from Event Horizon, but it's an idea and a look that can be exploited really well. It's got legs.

At first it was supposed to be a spiritual succesor to System Shock, but then the team saw how well RE4 did and then they pivoted the game design to that.

Looks like a serviceable 8 hour scripted Star Wars ride to close EA"s FY in the green.

Like most EA games it looks forgettable.

The first thing that stood out to me was how slow the bigger enemies moved and how long the telegraph was before they attacked. Of course that may be because I just finished CODE VEIN which has bosses constantly flying across the arena, throwing out massive AOE attacks, and lots of attacks with minimal charge up time.

The lightsaber is such a limp, slow weapon when you have to hit a golem or monster 15 times with it. It just doesnt work when you copy/paste combat that is intended to work with traditional swords without feeling like they nerfed the shit out of it.

Another note: the uncharted walljumping shit looks boring and exactly the same every single fucking time it is shown.

I think it looks fun enough.... but deciding to make a slow paced Jedi game is just a bad choice.
