I am a Sony fan for the most part, but I am not a crazy fan who thinks they can do no wrong.  I think in general I am pretty level headed with all gaming platforms since I own them all.  At least when posting on gaf, the only times I went over the edge was when I was dealing with ignorant console gamers or Wii fans.  It gets annoying when people ignore the fact that PC is the ultimate way to play almost any game.  The worst over there are Wii fans who go in every damn thread and say "this should be on the Wii!".

I shouldn't have phrased the thread title to reference Blue Velvet. It sounds a lot worse than something like "Damn, NeoGAF is a scary place," which is really what I was going for.

Edit: in fact, the things I was talking about in that post are probably the same problems that a lot of people who have been banned would have with GAF.

Yeah, you weren't really wrong with what you said there.  Just don't forget that a number of people on gaf believe the title is all you need to read.

In fact someone was banned for mentioning this forum on there recently.  Wollan was also banned (to the delight of some it seems) for making a joke (ending the post with j/k).  I do think that banning the websites isn't that bad considering that if a view were banned, a lot of crappy threads could be avoided (such as most things related to Kotaku).
