Wtf is it with modern games that don't give you full control over language options?
The UX wankers are probably worried that idiots will set it to something they can't read, but there's been a solution to this for decades: ask at the start!
Part of the problem is that it's a UWP app. If it were win32 this would be easily rectified, but it's not, so I can't even look at the folder it's installed in. No config option, no registry key... Sigh.
In my rage I forgot to say what game I was talking about: it's
Prey. This stupid little issue damped my excitement considerably, tbh.
Removing German alltogether did it.
Now to see if it will stick if I add German back, or if there's some residiual setting somewhere...
Well, adding German didn't break it. Why didn't it work before? Who the fuck knows...
Anyway, wrong thread to be bitching about this and
