Kinda want to check out Void Bastards, Shadow of War is getting a lot of play over here rn

Yes, it's awesome. Not sure why it's being compared with Max Payne, FEAR, and the like since it's nothing like those games. The VR version of the game is a spin-off that was made like a year or two after the original's release, BTW. It also got a sequel/expansion called Mind Control Delete that so far is only on PC.
join us and buy a switch sceneman
Gears 5 out tommorow.
Time for some Microsoft Studios signature mediocrity :lawd
is SUPER HOT worth playing non-VR? i thought the whole point of the game was VR lolIt‘s the most innovative shooter I‘ve played in years!
Some shop had a nice deal on the Xbox One S All-Digital, so I bought that just for this service.
so is the xcloud integration thing included next year or additional?they are real careful not to ever mention pricing for xcloud
Was looking at the Best Buy ad, they are selling game pass ultimate 3 months for 24.99 on Black Friday. I’m probably in for 4 of those.
yeah g2a is shady as hell, but I used it a couple of times when I missed to grab a bundle since you can buy these bundle keys there dirt cheap.Bought a couple of games (and windows copies) from Kinguin, and didn't have problems yet. :whew
2 keys I bought got revoked from steam because of a payment dispute, if that was PSN, I would have been locked out from every game I have ever bought.
Just some more awesome games being added to GamePass
Except that trash goose game
why the fuck is it 135 gig on xbox, swear it was only 50 tops on ps4 when i played it on ps4 when it came out :stahp
the dlc can't be that massive surely
I’ve never played an ace combat, booting it up now, thanks quarantine

Played Horde in Gears 5 for about 2 hours straight last night with some old friends, it's like it was 2005 again.
Started Forza Horizon, holy SHIT what a fabulous game.
Outer Worlds on deck. So much to play. If only there was a quarantine to keep me at home OH WAIT

i don't think anything has been signed for less than a year but rockstar is precious about their games so who knowsActually, on PC they go cheap relatively fast and relatively hard.
maybe its an attempt to get people into the MP, it was pretty dead the last time i was playing it. doesn't seem to be much to do, especially compared to gtav online

Issue was it launched as garbage, I was pumped to play it as I put 100s of hours in RDR1 online. GTAV online was fine at launch.
RDR2 Online launched with a terrible F2P economy in a retail product, and nothing to do. They've added stuff but not sure how cool it is.
I tried about 30 minutes and couldn't get into it. If you want a walk around adventure in space (or float around) Tacoma is probably the better choice here. Your writing or art's gotta be stellar if you expect me to play any of these, so hard pass.
Working on Plague Tale; holy shit @ these graphics, these are the same monsters who are doing Flight Simulator. They know their shit. Good prep for when the Corona Rats start arriving
Graphics look very nice and sharp, but you have to mod the backgrounds with that AI improved ones.Which in all likelihood you won't be able to on this version.
Endless Legend is pretty cool; reminds me to go back and play it again.. own it on Steam and didnt' play long before I got distracted by another game.
Like an RPG + Civ kinda thing.
Something about the colour pallette in Outer Worlds bugs me.
Is Rage 2 good or doodoo? I have been doing a good job at not paying for video games and this is right here in front of me
I'll be joining PC Gamepass by the end of the week but man the selection isn't very appetizing tbh but it comes free with my graphics card so :yeshrug
Demi really needs to play Fractured Minds. Easy 1000 gamerscore in like 10 minutes.

Yes a little. It's ok, in that Torchlight kind of way. Achievements don't look too bad.
I don't think it's cross-play, and you can only play online with friends, theres no random matchmaking.

Yeah I want something a bit more chill in my rotation, been playing Ace Combat for S ranks and Evil Within 2 on nightmare which is all edge of your seat shit. Some hack n slash grindan could be good. Will get today.
No random matchmaking is ass though
Anyone try Minecraft Dungeons yet?
This service should have more NEOGEO games, especially 3 Count Bout :jeb

Battletech is on PC cause of course it is as I just bought it. It's pretty good, very Front Mission 3.
No Man’s Sky is up
Yeah, I repaired my ship, blasted off into space (which looked like atmosphere because it was lime green), landed on the second planet and uninstalled, because I figured I would be doing exactly this going forward, except with more steps. No thanks. :dogeNo Man’s Sky is up
And it’s still dog shit, I want my bandwidth back :hhh
Once you have storage containers and portals, you can get stocked up pretty well on resources. Also got a shit ton of credits from space fights with fugitives while mining asteroids. Still really liking it, I have 3 bases set up with portals on wildly different planets, looking forward to expanding my network :)
It really sorta slow plays all the things you can do, so I could see not getting into it easily, but there really is a lot here now imo
I just put up solar panels with batteries that charge all day, the first biofuel engine thing you get is like, okay for an emergency. There’s so much in the technology trees to play with later on that solve every problem you’ve had, and for me that’s where the satisfaction comes in. Eventually you having to solve a bunch of tiny little problems adds up to you having a fairly decent tool set and resource pool. I feel like to really give the game a chance, you gotta reach the Anomaly and explore some of what it has to offer. But if you can’t get there, guess the game failed ya 🤷♀️

Yeah, maybe I'll give it another try and see if I can get that far.
*blinks really hard* have played moonlighter for hours now, I’m such a sucker for rogue shit
I think I'll try no man sky. Hated it when it originally came out. I have my doubts whether I will like it any more now. But will give it a shot.
Ace Combat 7 was so good that I bought the DLC, but the first mission is hard as hell even on normal. Most players online are ridiculously good also.
Started really playing DR4
My first DR since 1 over a decade ago.
Game has been made a lot more accessible and less "hardcore". Still good fun though.
Honestly the hardest part about rocket league is the total lack of team work usually
Dead Rising seemed like a fluke regarding how great the first one was. The series immediately lost me when co op and combo weapon crafting was introduced in 2. Along with using a similar setting, it felt like the series was sent to mediocrity right away.
Like, today in my head, a dream Dead Rising game:
Tropical setting
Setting revolves around 3 main areas
Cruise ship, resort island nearby, and the open ocean
3 days, overtime mode is strictly the island, and eventually an underground lab/research facility.
Zombies on island, zombies also come from the depths of the ocean and come up on the beach (elite, older zombies), zombie fish and sharks.
At night, island becomes borderline inhabitable, must retreat to cruise ship. Tower defense styled mode at night where you defend the cruise ship from zombies and bigger zombie fish/whales.
Use zombies and food as bait to kill or capture zombie fish.
Story is the US government wanted to conduct top secret research on zombified tuna. Reasoning being if it's successful or a failure, the public wouldn't know because it's harder to uncover mysteries from the ocean. (In line with the satirical story from 1).
Main character is a teenager that's visiting his fisherman dad. He lives on resort island where he runs a fishing operation. On a routine fishing trip, the son notices something odd floating and wants to investigate. Takes a smaller boat to see it's a zombie. As this is happening, a infected whale destroys his father's ship and eats everyone on board. Son sees a cruise ship in the distance, races towards it.
No co-op, no combo cards, simple survival recipes/crafting, focus is on building shit on the cruise ship and upgrading that over combo cards.
Dead Rising would also be a clever name, because it'd literally be dead bodies in the ocean rising to the top and coming to shore :lol :doge
Also, very open world, where you travel in between those three areas constantly.

add me on steam bruv letd get some games in, I was tearing it up last night

Yeah, I got the season pass when it was on sale. I guess I'll do every mission again on easy and hard for money. I only have like a third of the parts and planes from single player.
Ace Combat 7 was so good that I bought the DLC, but the first mission is hard as hell even on normal. Most players online are ridiculously good also.
Yeah I also bought the DLC cos I loved the game so much - fully worth it. Did you pick up the season pass? Because the DLC planes are some of the best in the game and do help with getting S ranks. The DLC missions are hard - but are more manageable with the right loadout. Ensure you get all the single player parts from the aircraft tree.
I used this guide to get all S -ranks, the loadout suggestions are great: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1735952104
The parts that enhance missile homing are a 100% game changer.
Re: online, these guys have good loadouts and weapons. Try and take note of what planes are popular and use those. The MP only parts are very strong and you need to grind for them.
Sorry for playing DR 4 guys :stahp

The charge move with the spear has a ton of invincibility frames, I used it to charge through the attacks you’re probably blocking (and bosses) but yes you’ve hit that sweet satisfying vein I found in this game! For every dungeon I just completed the items I wanted, enchanted the shit out my spear, bought all the upgrades I could, then used the teleport thing on the last level with the intention of slaying the boss the next run. Rinse, repeat. Might hafts finish up the ng+ now :lol
Oh and you carry your money over in a ng+ so stock a bit up if you go for it
All main Killer and Survivors together with main Maps

Me and my coop boyz are gonna brave Fallout 76 knowing it's probably doodoo but better than Remnant LOL

The chode is an elusive, mythical specimen of male genitalia traditionally defined as a penis that is wider than it is long.
Tried fallout 76 for half an hour, what a fucking vile game in every sense :doge
First thing your greeted with is a big old advert for micro transactions :whew
It’s ugly as sin (some nice lighting effects aside) and feels like shit to control ala every Bethesda developed game ever :killme
Ok, I played Forager to lvl.5, built the starting 3 structures and all the various mats in them. I've never really got the appeal of the crafting/survival genre. Like what is my end goal? I see I can make weapons and things but on my little island I don't see any enemies? Do I have to buy neighboring islands to find enemies?Yup. And that's exactly how the game is structured. Some of the tiles have dungeons, other have towers with puzzles. Nothing substantial, just a different way to hide items and upgrades. There are challenge modes as well.
These games just feel like the carrot on the stick design, grind this mat to get this thing to let you get to where you can grind this other mat to get this other thing repeat repeat repeat forever.
Man of Medan is a huge step down from Until Dawn. But thanks to GamePass you don't have to cry about it!
howlongtobeat says it's only 4-5 hours, that is perfect. there is apparently free DLC/another path so will check it out. if it sucks or doesn't grab us can just bail.
I played it once and moved on. The next game - Little Hope - looks better at least.
I really liked the rail shooter :ohyeah

Yeah, I liked Until Dawn, but still haven't played this because that is what I hear.
Would play it for free tho!

Do you need an Android Phone? Wouldnt any sort of Android device work?
Hope they work it out with Apple and I can do it on an iPhone
Honestly, this could be the thing that gets me on an android phone...
Gameplay wise it's actually one of the better shooters. The big problem that game has is the low enemy variety, level design and half of it being a bunch of tv-show episodes you gotta watch.
I don't think Remedy has ever made a straight up bad/janky TPS.
Controversial opinion - Alan Wake was a pretty crappy shooter. Long stretches of level without enemies boring walking sim basically, barely any enemy types, combat options.I agree, and i'm not suprised they came up with Alan Wake's gameplay in a rush after their open world plans failed.
I like (but don't love) Alan Wake because the story was interesting, the setting was Twin Peaks, and the visuals were great, but the gameplay-side was pretty bad imo. I can't even tell Control is made by the same people because it's such a far leap of improvement in gameplay. I never played American Nightmare since it seemed more combat focused and yeah I didn't like the combat in AW.
Will play Quantum Break at some point since it seems sorta in the middle between AW -> Control gameplay improvements and I'm interested in the FMV story stuff.
Both Alan Wake and Quantum Break are bad shooters but cool setttingsControl is a better shooter than all of those. ::)
Much like Rockstar Remedy just can't get it right.
How hard is it to copy Gears, Uncharted, Spec Opd or that Sega tps
Did I mention Control in my post? You mentioned how Remedy can't get it right, but they did. :thinking
::)
Why put unskippable cutscenes in a game like this, especially all the story stuff is terrible.

I dunno, "Thank you for freeing me Lord Sakai!" x400 can get grating. :lol
lol, I haven't played Ghost but at least it's a little less appalling since I'm assuming it's a cinematic story AAA game.
Running Man of Medan co-op with my buddy in Tokyo. It's a riot. We are taking great delight in making the main characters be complete shitheads.

50 gulden?
I was trying to go for the indie price. My copy of Banjo Tooie still has the 189 gulden sticker on the box.
I was playing The Touryst and liking it overall...there are really good parts but holy shit that last room of the Hawaii temple was infuriating. :killmeThese fuckers had the audacity to include a dropshadow, as if that helps in any way with the perspective or tiny platforms.

In 98 games were 129 gulden on cd and 149/169 on carts.
Nice try.
Just part of the complete package. six foot six. tan. muscular. great at videogames. good taste.
Disgaea 4 and Resi 8? holy hell
I actually had first real problem with windows game store last night trying to give Crusader Kings a try and it somehow broke my Xbox app and store...wouldn't let me run anything as admin or download anything. the solutions to this I found online were pretty lol (I had to reinstall windows! :derp) so if anyone ever runs into issue:Xbox App is a little sketchy but will forever be a million times better than when GamePass made you use the Windows Store. Every time I wanted to download a game I had to google an error message to let me select another HDD
Start > Run shell:AppsFolder to get to the dumb hidden app folder
pin Xbox to taskbar
hold shift+ctrl and click to run in admin mode
hit install on gamepass page, but before running first time right click on icon and create desktop shortcut.
right click that to run as admin and should at least bring up the launcher, which worked for me at that point no issues.

Does gamepass include Xbox/Xbox360 games? Or would you have to re-buy those digitally?I don't have an xbox, but from the site, it does seem to include plenty of old (360/OGbox) games.
I might even get an S for that price if it has X360/Xbox games included.

Just downloaded
- Stranger Things 3
- Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance
- Tell Me Why (last chapter is out today 9/10)
Hotshot Racing is up, downloading
edit: Played some races, this game is fucking dope aesthetically, I really like the ability to boost out of OutRun 2-style drift turns
It depends on how much stuff you already own mostly. I had like a year of gamepass with the 1 dollar conversion and played through basically all the games I wanted to play that I don't already own.
Now I just get a single month of it when there's a bunch of new stuff I don't neccesarily want to own, but kinda want to play anyways.

For me it just comes down to having the time. There's a handful of games on game pass I'd like to play, but they're not top-priority backlog games so I'd rather spend the time playing better games elsewhere. Occasionally they get something that's a day 1 play on game pass, but most of it is just add to the backlog games and then maybe 6 months later I'm between games and actually play through something on Game Pass.
Pretty sure the only Game Pass games I've finished since it launched on PC were Forza Horizon 4, Blazing Chrome, The Messenger, Slay the Spire, Ori 2 and The Outer Worlds.
On the other hand I get value out of Game Pass being essentially a demo station. I try a lot of games that I have a slight interest in and would probably have bought on steam sale only to find out that I'm over them in 30 mins and now I don't need to buy them on steam sale. Money saved right there.
Touhou Luna Nights and Double Kick Heroes look pretty good. Downloading these along with Hotshot Racing.
So there's a way to pre-pay PC game pass as many months out as you want at the $5/month price before it hikes to $10/month. Kinda of iffy since you don't know the quality, but ehh, option is there. You go to settings in the app -> click on the grey game pass (not manage) and scroll down and hit the green extend button and keep buying one month at a time.Quoting for the new page.
I figure I'll get like a year.

When's the price hike? How much time do i have to think about it?
Bepbo you got screens on where to go?
River City Girls & Katana ZERO is on the list under "xCloud launch lineup"Why do I even buy digital only games on the Switch anymore?
One crushing doubt though: Since you have to reinstall Windows every time you change CPU/MoBo, can you just transfer your Windows account/Gamepass to the new copy of Windows? Not being able to upgrade cpu for the next 2 years just because of gamepass, would be hilariously stupid. You don't have to re-install Windows. First boot on the new mobo will just take a while.
Thanks Bepbo, bought 2 years with your method, i figured the first 2 years of a console launch, with no games to show (like in MS's case) it's where they'll rely on Gamepass the most, then 2 years in they'll probably change things around or get tired of it or whatever.

Yup that's why I never touched it - that and I'm certainly not playing Halo [again]

For those going with the Xbox all access plan for a series X/S and are wondering how GamePass ultimate is being provided for the 24 months, it's a token. So you essentially will be adding 2 years to your existing GamePass subscription.
Now that MS owns Bethesda, GamePass is about to get a hot beef injectionSame with the price most likely. :doge

Really wanna play some Battlefield
rumor seems to be Doom Eternal coming soon to game pass. Hopefully PC + Console.
I wouldn't say it sucks ass, but its certainly disappointing.

Over-under on Mafia Remake and RIDE4 hitting this? I'm tempted to just buy both, but if they come out on Gamepass in a month, i'll feel like a cunt.

Nah, they made four of them just to spite you.
I was just itching for a bike racer, and Milestone's been pretty good in the past (plus, a bit of nationalistic bias. ;)) But yeah looking at the steam reviews, it seems like it needs a patch or two.Nah, they made four of them just to spite you.
I dont care either way but I thought they were a bit mediocre no?
I give a shit
I give a shit
I missed Katana Zero, thats supposedly great but what of those other games are you genuinly interested in?

Nm, Halo 4 was a X360 game. I wonder why I never got it/played it. I was into Halo and got them all through Reach. Thought I didn't get 4/5 because they were on Xbox One.
Just beat the first boss in Tactics.
Good game so far on the normal difficulty.
Can anyone recommend some linear shooter campaigns on GamePass? Rage 2 has some of the most fun shooting ever but it’s wrapped in so many layers of pointless map icons and audio logs that it’s strictly a podcast game

Halo and Gears will be good and probably Crackdown 3, Black, Doom Eternal, and Wolfenstein: Young Blood but I haven't played those last four. I would have recommended BF1/5 from the EA library but Dice decided to go wild with stupid stealth missions that don't work well. The other half of the campaigns are pretty fun in a mindless big war action way.
Actual footage of me after reading that Control is rumored to be coming to gamepass this month:

Also EA Play should arrive on PC sometime in December. So Jedi Order as well. Good stuff.

Eh game isnt that great
impulse bought a series s and gamepass :-* my first game will be sunset overdrive :-*
Def gonna cash in some bing rewards points this month to play Doom and some shitty Star Wars games :jeb
Well Call of the Sea seems like a technical dud. Looks like they silently cut ray tracing too.
PASS.
Well Call of the Sea seems like a technical dud. Looks like they silently cut ray tracing too. There's a reason it's called GamePass. :rimshot

Man, I'm excited to play this now. Sounds like a massive piece of crap. :D
Yeah I clicked out of the Call of the Sea game intro as soon as I heard the Cthulu(sp?) crap. Im so done with that nerd shit. Maybe I should read the books. Alone in the Dark was baller in 1992. Lovecraft was prob innovative? Who cares. Build your own personailty and interests please. I wanna see dinosaurs playing basketball or somethingBeen done.
They really just not going to mention EA Play for PC again or what
We could play Torchlight

Game Pass January update is pretty :zzz unless you really have a boner for futbol.
We could play Torchlight
Or you could just carry me through Minecraft Dungeons. :blessup
They really just not going to mention EA Play for PC again or whatI'm consistently seeing EA Games chart on Steam so I don't think EA is ready to shoot themselves in the dick yet :doge
Hades rumored for gamepass. Huge if trueAfter I bought it on Switch... ::)

Oh no, my Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour!
Donut County is a simple yet enjoyable short game (beat it on Switch). It should be one of those easy achievement games for demi.
Desperados III :lawd
Beat The Little Acre. It's so short, kinda wish it was longer. Very cute game, worth a look if you like point and clicks

I looked this up and saw Cecil from Revolution Software/Broken Sword was involved. Looks nice. Too bad it's not on the PC one.
Microsoft Rewards is doing a 10,000 Gamerscore promo again so I cranked out some GamePass games recently
I tried playing Control on PC last night and it looks like it's impossible to launch the game in DX12 mode and you can't use DLSS as a result? Microsoft microsux guys.
I want free video games
Little birdy says CyberPunk will be on GamePass this spring.
Donut County is really good. Fun, funny, clever. Beat it in one sitting. Great game for zero oppurtunity cost. Some surprising twists in the narrative too.

You should definitely try dying during the boss fight if you didn’t. It gives you a pretty funny cutscene.
EA Play does offer a 99 cent month to new subscribers, might just hit that up, I don't think it's coming to gamepass PC this year considering there's literally been zero update or mention of it in over a month.
Ive probably asked this before, but is Mass Effect Andromeda worth touching? I loved the original trilogy but have heard Andromeda is... flawed
Played an hour or so of Medium, really pretty environments, even if on my 1060 it runs at 15 fps when in split screen (on medium settings, ah!).
The thing that bothers me is, as usual, the constant voice over/talking.
Are they so afraid of leaving moments of silence? Are they afraid of letting the audience interpret the inner workings of the character? I don't get it, it's so annoying.
I only played Layers of Fear, which was alright but got stale halfway through.Played an hour or so of Medium, really pretty environments, even if on my 1060 it runs at 15 fps when in split screen (on medium settings, ah!).

It's a Bloober game.
Their handling of PTSD in the Blair Witch was amazing.

I mean... it might tide you over until the next one, but it doesnt even come close to the original trilogy.

Looks worth it to me.
I turned off at the first "static hologram + audio diary" shit. :gaas
Yo, the medium sucked ass. I got so bored half way through. I love how the game is pretty much a walking simulator with the guise of having some puzzles. Those puzzles end up being, something is stopping you from progressing in to this door. Go to the door beside it. Get something. Now you can progress through the door you were not able to progress through earlier.
Ad Nauseum.
Its Troy Baker in a studio with his fucking beret and scarf thinking he's some vocal genius when he's just copying Mike Patton voicing The Darkness. What did he do to deserve this ire? :wtf
Fuck Troy Baker.
Did you enjoy when the game mentioned how long and tedious it was to get the bolt cutters.I'm pretty sure they do that during the tentacle section as well.

Of course if the story isn't for you, then the game isn't for you. I think that's why it got such polarizing review scores (from 3/10 to 9/10). Most of the time if you don't like the story in a game, maybe you'll stick it out because of the actual gameplay. That's what my friends that play anime-girl games tell me.
Finished The Medium... uh, yeah that was pretty bland, lol
I dont even know what music Akira Yamaoka did
Anyway it's an easy 1000 (collectible guide recommended) at least, I fucked up and missed something so I need to speedrun the game (it's not that long)
Started Mass Effect Andromeda... lol. Characters look so goofy coming off Control. This is clearly lesser than the OT, but the environments look great and the music is good. Im just treating it as a generic spaceman game. Gotta be better than Deliver Us the Moon at leastI really enjoyed Andromeda when I played it. Not nearly as good as Mass Effect 1 - 3 but after the patching certainly playable. Just very unfinished and designed right before open world games got a glow up with the likes of Assassins Creed Origins, Witcher 3 and Zelda BOTW in terms of quests and exploration so it's more like one of those Ubisoft cross icons off your list kinda Open World with 2 or 3 different type of objectives and a lot of the same encounters outside of the quite meaty quests / side quests.
Maybe I should stop playing 1.0 versions of games entirely.
I didnt really have any issues in my play, but I did get some weird "sparkly" graphic glitch during the final cutscene
Dirt 5 is coming to game pass next week, which seems like an extra quick turn around, it only came out in November. Has anything ever hit gamepass this quick :thinking

I'm guessing it must have bombed hard :doge
I'm finding Mass Effect Andromeda to be a real bore after 15-20 hours. The side quests all suck, the loot sucks, the load times suck. The action is fine.
The lore is good, but the dialog is terrible. There's no option to play a more serious, scientific, rational Ryder. The dialog wheels are just different ways to say the same thing. No renegade options. The characters speak like teenagers, and they're meant to be the best and brightest colonists the Milky Way has to offer? Sheesh. I'd like to blame the MCU for the dumbing down of nerd shit across the board. Everyone needs to be a snappy fucking Iron Man cracking jokes while a planet explodes

I would try Andromeda except EA Play is still nowhere to be seen on Game Pass PC :(
Give them a few years and they'll have literally everything that isn't their competitions first party output included.

Power to the players. #gamepass #ad
Are Wolfenstein and Dishonored 2 worth checking out? I liked Dishonored 1 plenty and am in the mood for an FPS
Which Wolfenstein is good?
Somewhat - Ultimate is XBL Gold + GP
btw, I'm pretty excited to see what a PC port-up can do for Y6 (for when I get to it in 5 years...).
I hear Empire of the Sun is very good. I finally tried Desperados 3 the other day and yeah that's a cool game.

Ok, got EA Play working. Had to make a new EA account because my Origin/EA account is somehow linked to another Xbox account? Idk.Same.
Looking through the list, should I even try Anthem for the single player?

Undertale had the best achievements other than Nier Automata where you could just buy them from the in-game store.

Anyone tried Outriders yet?
Just put 4 hours into Prey. Holy fuck this game is good. Like System Shock 2 good.
Also they finally unfucked the Xbox version, I know the console releases of this were SUPER broken, but now we coo
Prey sounds cool, will check it out once I am done with Wolfenstein: New Blood, which is a great game so far! The "frankfurter" joke in the prologue had me howling
That being said I am 6 hours in and this game is still pretty stingy with the Neuromods. I've barely gotten any of the tech tree going and unless they open up the faucet I dunno what I'm gonna doOh, they open the faucet alright.

This game is my shit because it's basically:
- Wake up in a spooky base
- Take your time checking out the cool environment, reading spooky notes and taking shit out of trash cans
- Recycle the trash can shit into cool weepon
- Shoot monsters from time to time but let turrets do the majority if the work if possible
- Repeat
Yeah it's straight up System Shock 2 / Bioshock but I'm cool with it, cloning that kind of game is hard as fuck anyway and nobody else seems to be doing it and it's included in Gamepass so I'm having a greeeeeat time

Oh shit, they just added the Destroy All Humans remake.
I'd been eyeing buying that on Steam for a while. I never played the original and people seem to really like it and the remake seems a high quality effort. Will give this a try.
It's like GTA Mars Attack?
I friggin' love Mars Attacks so I feel like I need to play this now.Oh shit, they just added the Destroy All Humans remake.

It’s THQ doing a Mars Attacks version of GTA III on a THQ budget. It didn’t grab me at the time.
Lego City Underground is a better tribute.
I'm enjoying it too. Building in 3rd person is cumbersome and I still misplace blocks (I'm on the 2nd big island), but it's all so adorable.
what
How did I miss that? :existential
it's a 0$ game :ufupGamepass isn't 0$ :ufup
Huh, I never thought about buying game codes from third party vendors, always just bought shit direct from the console store. Will check them out :)Yeah, the ending (no spoilers) is a bit rushed, but overall very cool and unique game.
Oberservation is awesome. Im about 3/4 through I think. It draws inspiration from basically every hard-sci-fi film but that isnt a bad thing. Theres touches of Interstellar, Gravity, Stowaway, 2001, Sunshine et al. The result ends up feeling quite original still, especially due to the perspective of the player and subsequent handling of the narrative
I'm intrigued by Maneater, anyone check it out?

A lot of goodness is coming to Game Pass. Is Yakuza Like A Dragon good? Last Yakuza game I played was #2 on PS2... I liked it plenty though.
Gonna smang Wolfenstein 2 as well
https://twitter.com/MitchSmokes/status/1405538089775157252
This is what Playstation fans actually believe.
bro, it's way better having all these throw in ps+ titles i'll never play sitting in my library forever“I am in this picture and I don’t like it.”
Yeah, it's Viktor Antonov firing on all cylinders. Bulgarian guy. I LOVE the paintings hanging on the wall in this game, they are all extremely fucked in the best wayYeah he honestly "made" Half Life for me.
Um Yakuza Like a Dragon is totally sweet. Any of the DLC worth it? I grabbed the free pachinko stuff
Yakuza 1 on PS2 had a relatively big English cast (Michael Madsen, Mark Hamill, Eliza Dushku).
It still seems like THE series to play in Japanese though.

"Going Under" being added to Gamepass soon. Supposed to be fun enough, and the premise is good. Easy completion as well

2. Divinity: Original Sin 2
3. Pillars of Eternity 2
4. Wasteland 3
5. Shadowrun: Dragonfall
6. Tyranny
7. Pillars of Eternity 1
8. Shadowrun: Hong Kong
9. Underrail
10. Divinity Original Sin 1
11. Wasteland 2
12. Shadowrun: Returns
13. Pathfinder: Kingmaker
I thought Pillars 1 was very good but dragged late in the game.

Have it on Steam, great fun
Game Pass has too many games.
Not a bad problem to have, but I keep installing shit every week and haven't even booted any of them. Installed Cris Tales; The Ascent, now Art of Rally and Boyfriend Dungeon. There's other stuff I'd install too if I'd actually play it like replaying Katamari w/Reroll or Lumines. Project Wingman & Last Stop seem interesting too.
Just too many damn games! I think I used Game Pass more when it had like one game worth playing a month.
Okay wtf is boyfriend dungeon lol
Are people getting dumber, or is social media giving *everyone* a voice just a bad idea in general?Okay wtf is boyfriend dungeon lol

Can't wait to give it a try. Game devs are known for their nuanced takes on heavy subject matter.I think that's beside the point, when you're so distinguished mentally-challenged you attack a voice actor for playing a "bad guy".
While Astria Ascending is being developed by Artisan, which is based in Quebec, Canada, and Montpellier, France, it features an array of contributions from reputable names in the JRPG genre — most notably, a score by Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy 12, Vagrant Story) and writing from Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy 10, Final Fantasy 7 Remake).
no
is it worth the precious hd space?
Damn people willingly paid money for this game, and still don't have their exclusive character they spent money for

They FINALLY launched xCloud in Japan, lets get cookin
The Namco comment was around launch, 3 months ago
So I finally got my hands on a series x console :hyperIf you want to see what ray tracing can do give CONTROL Ultimate Edition a whirl.
What are the best games to showcase the POWAH of the Xbeast? I'm playing the Ascent and it looks amazing. Might try Ori 2 as well
yeah shit sux once you get over the "heh a skateboarding bird" gag after about 45 seconds
avengers sucks too lmao. where are the people saying it at least had a good single player. what a mind numbing experience. kamala khan sucks, the knockoff mcu faces suck, the super generic level design and set pieces suck. how many times in a WeStErN TrIpLe A game will we slide down a slope and jump and barely reach a ladder/cliff. creatively bankrupt braindead game design. glad this game flopped.

1. What's this, then? Can I play xbox stuff on my iPad now?
2. What the fuck is the official Xbox news site doing saying it's available on Game Pass now, if Namco says it isn't? That's not a rumor, that's a communications fuckup.
Forza Horizon 4

Not sure how well Cyberpunk 2077 runs on the Series X now but that's mindblowing in the graphics department.
Resident Evil Village comes to mind also.
And don't forget about Tales of Arise which just dropped and is absolutely gorgeous.
It's funny now that the Series X is out I finally get to see what the One X can do. :doge
I already played and got all cheevos in Control Xbone original edition at the start of the year, but the game is so good I would play it again (might wait for it to come to gamepass or a sale though).:thinking
Thanks for reminding me about Resi 8, I was keen to play it at launch but I told myelf I'd wait for the optimised experience on the Series X. That'll be my first stop after the Ascent I think...
Will try and think about Tales next time I want an RPG.
I'm really stoked some stock finally arrived in NZ and I was able to get a Series X, I had been wanting one for months. Such a massive upgrade in performance over Xbone S
I'd also be keen for a 4k 120fps remaster of Sleeping Dogs so I could get 1000/1000 a third time
So I finally got my hands on a series x console :hyper

I'll check out Visage and Good Life, maybe B4B.Games can come, go, and come back on GamePass. It's not like people complain about regaining access to a title.
Wasn't TABS already on it though? I know i played it, and i certainly didn't buy it.
Players will also be able to experience Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition with Xbox Game Pass starting November 11.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgn8VOv9dc0Seems like HALO meets Far Cry. It doesn't look exciting at all. :yeshrug
Played some Unpacked, it feels like the videogame version of an adult coloring book. I beat the first level and then deleted it.I played the entire thing in a single sitting. :lol

Anyone tried xcloud?
Thinking about upping my sub to ultimate for 1 month. Going out of town next week and if I can transfer my FH5 PC save and play FH5 on Xcloud on a tablet w/dual shock 4 while on a trip that'd be cool. Otherwise will just be playing SMTV/Metroid Dread on the Switch I'm taking and Fantasian Pt.2 on my ipad. This of course only works if my save file is account/cloud-based.

Im planning on giving it a shot tonight, I am interested in how bad the lag is gonna be... I am planning on using it for walking sims, RPGs. But will see if its even playable :P
The fastest 1000G since Avatar
Lake is pretty chill game. Just deliver mail and talk to people lol. If you don't get to make out with the video store woman I'm gonna be disappointed tho
I have more than 200 hours in the last 2 Ghost Recon games, and paid the latest one, like, 9€. :doge

guess its time to check out hitman 3 :itagaki
Is PCVR support also on the same day? I may set the Oculus back up if it is.
Played some Two Point Hospital last night. Feel like I'd seen most of the game after an hour or so though. Will probably try Evil Genius 2 tonight, but guessing it will be the same experience.I had the same experience. Theme Hospital was the same back in the day.
Edge of Eternity is like if a 7/10 JRPG from 2002 got timewarped 20 years into the future, and I'm kinda here for it.
Anyone check out that anime metroidvania? Record of Lodoss War or something like that. Graphics looked good. It's a love letter to Symphony of the Night, but smaller/shorter. Has a neat ramp-up system where you store energy with each hit, improving your attacks. If you get hit yourself, the stored energy is drained to heal you instead. You have two stocks that you can switch between at any time (which also changes which spells you can cast), which makes it pretty forgiving. So long as you don't take too many hits in a row you can recover without having to limp back to a save point or drink one of your three potions.

The only annoying mechanic are the arrow 'puzzles', where you have to bounce them off the walls to hit switches.
Oh, and the afterimages of the protag's sprite were way too distracting for my liking, but they let you turn those off, thankfully.
Story-wise it's not important to know any of the prior material, as it doesn't continue or elaborate on anything, all you see is just a series of cameos. Knowing who all the people are and how they relate to each other isn't going to make you appreciate this 'plot' any more thank you would otherwise.

Far's on sale for US$3 on Steam right now for non GamePass peeps.
Guardians is like a proper next generation game? Benchmarks show it to be crazy demanding on PC. Might try the cloud version.
Feel like Surge 2 was there for like 3 months. I'm sure it will be $5 on sale sometime soon anywayCovid space-time distortion. Been there since March 2020. I played it in July 2020.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5XpgTO7YN0I've read that Tunic is a mix of A Link to the Past and Dark Souls with a Donkey Kong Country soundtrack. :doggy
New day one Game Pass game. It's getting good reviews and described as a Zelda-lite.
Paradise Killer is also on Game Pass now.
Yeah, both good gets. Tunic looks & sounds great, but I've got no time for it anytime soon.I've had a bad habit of playing Game Pass games when they're about to leave and not beating them in time, so I'm trying to stop that. I've played the shit out of Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Master since day one (almost 40 hours), I jump back into Nobody Saves the World every now and then, and I got about 5 hours into Scarlet Nexus so far this week.
I actually unsubbed after all the months I pre-paid at $5 ran out in January. Love game pass but sometimes I go months without playing anything on it. Will sub again later in the year when between stuff and catch up on some indies.
Eh its not as good as Zelda games for sure ( I like it but...)
When I hear the Nintendie reviewers say: "Just look at that crisp 720p presentation" as F-Zero X stutters along I really wouldn't mind Nintendo going multi-platform at this point.Eh its not as good as Zelda games for sure ( I like it but...)
True, just wait until Microsoft buys Nintendo and puts all their games on Gamepass. 8)

Actual footage of me downloading A Memoir Blue, getting 1000/1000 and promptly deleting it within the timeframe of like, an hour
Agreed.
I don't know what they were thinking with the crystal mechanic. Your deck can speed things up a *bit* with explosive arrows (MVP), re-roll (MVP during board game fights), bonus crystals, etc. but you have to find those cards or be able to afford them, so I would still recommend to switch to easy.
https://twitter.com/XboxGamePass/status/1498660298831532032Nothing is a fair price to pay for the FFXIII trilogy. :teehee
I know people generally don't like them, but I kinda wanna give the FF13 games a chance now that they're all on GamePass.
Holy shit, Sniper Elite 5 is really goddamn good.
Figured out exactly one instance non lethal matters for: those kill contracts. It’s easier to knock them out and place the body under a chandelier than luring the AI with bottles. And well, it’s still lethal in the end.
SIX PLAYERS in a beatemup, whaaaaaaaa that's going to be fuckin awesome
Cloud gaming available in NZ now - its awesome!
Games like Slay the Spire and Monster Train are perfect for mobile touch controls.
Monster Train is interesting - the presentation is very generic mobile game stuff but the gameplay seems rock solid. An interesting blend of deck building and tower defense.
Oh, and I just got enough rewards points for my second free month of Gamepass this year. I could get used to this :smug

Haha yeah I just got my second free month from points, too. I bing shit all day long, helps lol
It's not actually a walking simulator, more of a Powerpoint simulator. There's no exploration, you just watch slideshow cutscenes and make choices. Story is kinda good, but man why was this a 60GB install lmao?
Why play As Dusk Falls when ez quick games like Omno, Raji, and Dodgeball are leaving in a couple weeks. E ZAre these all short games?
Lol the only game Ive been playing for past month or so is Hades and its leaving Game Pass and I need to buy it now :( owned by le micro$ucc
We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities.
Guess who paid full price for hades today
Anyone play through Sable last year when it was on game pass?I ended up engrossed in it and did almost everything there was to do (collected all the masks, bike parts, clothing, saw every location, etc.) and left satisfied. However, the artstyle does work much better in screenshots*, so the artbook might be a good call even if the game doesn't grab you. It takes an hour or two to leave the tutorial area and hit the 'open road'. If it doesn't grab you then, I don't think it will.
Lost in Cult is putting out a really nice looking art book, but I'm not really interested in art books of games I haven't played. The reviews were kind of iffy on release so never played it. Wondering if it's worth playing now. Looking at reviews the consensus seemed to be that it looked great, but the gameplay was shallow and just driving around and the game was filled with bugs.

*Aliasing and thin black outlines really don't mix. Foliage consisting of interlocked flat alpha-textures don't blend in at all, because they gave them black outlines too. The whole map is pretty desolate, so it won't be a constant eyesore, but I don't know what they were thinking there. Shadow cascading is extremely obvious in a low-detail world; that unfortunately will stand out all the time. Damn near every modern game suffers this issue, but it's extremely obvious here. The protags animations are locked to 30 (or 24?), because film. Dumb, but I learned to look past it, literally.
Despite all this I found the visuals pleasing most of the time. Variety goes a long way.
Beacon Pines is a game for the achievement hunters. Pretty quick 100%.
Decent at best adventure game. Fits that Night in the Woods mold, but not as good.

The furries scare me. Why are so many games filled with furries in gaming.
Why is this new Plague Tale game only 30fps? It looks good, but not that good. (Seems it's 40 fps on a 120hz display.)
Got up to chapter 2 and went into photo mode to look at some really nicely textured watermelons. :like
Oh and one kinda crappy design decision in Plague Tale is that Hard Mode doesn't spawn enough breakable knives to open all the chests for an achievement - so you're locked out of it if you're playing on hard! Had to drop to easy mode! There's no cheevo for hard made but I would've preferred the challenge. Oh well

Hi-Fi Rush is pretty cool. First thought was, whomever made this must’ve watched Baby Driver a lot. Actually looked it up. It’s the guy who did Evil Within 2. People say it’s good and much better than the first.
Playing on normal and it’s forgiving with timing. Thankful for that. Never have an issue with rhythm games but these blends? Crypt of Necrodancer or the Hellslinger FPS. Shit at them. I beat Necrodancer with the cheat character.
Post your gamer tags and I'll ad y'all
Bruh. I cannot believe this is from a game I bought for my ORIGINAL XBOX back in 2005. I can't believe it. And it RUNS IT?!?! OFF OF MY DISC?!

Hard isn't really that hard either, I think it's how the game was meant to be played, great game so far

It doesn't run off the disc, the disc is a key which lets you play a digital download pretty much
Each 360 + OG game are literally a "virtual machine" that spins up in its own little emulator with I assume its own unique settings for each game

I have one week to finish Octopath Traveler. I just started chapter 3. :-\
I checked to see how much it costs after the gamepass discount and it's still $48 for this old ass game. Insane. Either I beat it within a week or I drop it.
Yeah, it's really bad. If the nonstop snarky sidekick AI doesn't have you in stitches, we also have a horny refrigerator that sexually assaults you, hilarious!
Early HD era gaming was great. I think it was Dead Rising with the subtitles so small you couldn't read them when playing the game on a SDTV.
Edit: Saw this headline from 2006.
"Capcom to Dead Rising customers: if you can’t read the text, you’re just out of luck"
Peak CapCunt era.
Shadow Warrior 3 is yet another game with nonstop chatter. Obnoxious even within its own franchise that started by trying to one up Duke 3D. When he sang rapper’s delight during a platforming sequence, that was enough of that.

Well...I think you've sold me on playing this.
Guilty Gear Strive is up today.

https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/1640505566111100930This is a pretty cool game, I picked it up for 30 shortly after launch.
I think Nintex was the one who liked this NFS. Not a bad price for a 4 month old game.
Redfall is a stinker unfortunately. Feels jankier than borderlands 1 on 360. Shit clipping everywhere, AI couldn't see me in front of an enemy... played for half an hour and unistalled. Feel bad for the devs as this seems very rushed out. Even the menus were slow and buggy. Kinda crazy as Deathloop felt so polished. Arkane B studio?

I mean technically it's the A studio since this team did Dishonored 1 and Prey, but I guess Prey (though good) was more like a B-team kind of game, so maybe?
Arkane Lyon did Dishonored 2 and Deathloop.
From what I read about Redfall it sounds like Bethesda said "your games sell like shit and every release is selling worse and worse, we want you guys to make a GAAS looter shooter, do that or you're fired" and Arkane's strengths are not in that kind of game, so it turned out a half-assed PoS.
Hopefully since MS owns them now, MS will overlook this game being shit and let them make a game they want next.
Play Hypnospace Outlaw
Was there anything that looked good today?

Also play FUGA, these games rule
Exoprimal's final boss mission was amazing omg. I need more of this chaos. :lol
I'll keep playing to level up the different suits/characters and to get some remaining achievements. Looking forward to whatever Capcom does next with this game.
Edit: Hold up, completing the story unlocks something called the Savage Gauntlet. Looks like it's a mode with even harder missions. Perfect.
A Short Hike is very very good. Finished the main story in one sitting, now just getting all the cheevs. Hate to use the term little indie gem, but thats what this is lol

It’s a strong recommendation because there’s a 70% chance you already own it or at least have access to it. Somehow I own it on three services, that I know of.
